  1. but then u would need the scarf as well. a prescription pair of googles would be awesome for myself.
  2. que? besides se7ens usually don't have doors...:7rain:
  3. If u need more proof than print media, he wants me to drive it after seeing my handywork. :jonautox: of course, that could just be as one the final troubleshooter/beta/gamma tester for Franken7.
  4. Al will be drooling all over these. not that I am not:cheers:
  5. Ole! http://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2007-10/33236233.jpg
  6. that other car that wants to be a track car?
  7. there should be no rush to decide what type of powerplant to use nor the final build weight. use the website as another resource. learn about all the different scenarios manufacturers and selfbuilds have entailed. they run the gamut from sub 1000 lb bike engine to 1000lb 45 yr old 1 litre I4 Lotuses to 1200 lb 200hp demons to 1800 lb v8 beast and everything in between. If ur prepared for multiple builds, then start as soon as u can, as u won't regret it. But if its a do it once, do it right, then tagging along for a year or so to see what transpires here, the locostusa list, the sevens list, meeting other owners and experiencing their se7ens will narrow down your focus. GL! :7rain:
  8. i thought this this would be about the SAn Fernando Valley Illegal Soapbox Derby League. truth is stranger than fiction.
  9. hoepfully a worthy successor to Mojo!

  11. Death to bernie!
  12. thats been reissued every year for the last few years. its true of every r comp.
  13. just saw that on Letteran tonight. Very Very Good.
  14. pretty snazzy
  15. don't worry. I make interesting on a regular basis. :ack:
  16. lets start the fun early. run your mouth and your motor time! Tom's scared of being beat by a green and yellow 7 on street tyres. this year i won't have to resort to stealing the timing equipment! :jonautox:
  17. the filter for a zetec is too long (part numbers for contour/fukkus). using a mid 90s Toyota camry 6 cylinder look up gets u the correct threads and height to work in a Caterham.
  18. congrats. tom says ur gonna have to come out to an AutoX or we'll trailor Yellow to ur place and rev its engines till all ur neighbors pissed. we'd use my car but no one even knows when its WOT.
  19. Kumho v710 for track and autoX. 195 to 225 widths. avoid standing or accumulating water. tirerack. hankook z214. 205 and 225 width. frisby racing tyre. the r888 is available in the same sizes. street tyres will probably only have the rt615 still around in 14".
  20. i don't like to hurt old men skip, but you're asking for it:) 225 45 15 are supposed to be coming this quarter and i've heard rumors of a 235 as well. the standard sompound will serve as daily driverable on a se7en. but if there's another compound...
  21. the v710 now has a new compound. probably will be edging closer to the a6. i used the bridgestone re-01r the last half of last year. excellent high performance tyre. the Yoko AD07 s in that catagory. Toyo has the R1R in the usa now, but lookes more like a rain tyre(looks like a gravel tyre to me). the RT615 has been going to an r comp the Yoko AO48 has proven itself w/ the UK crowd. the final sizes of teh R888 will be in the market in a few months. will be using those and see what compounds can be brought into the USA. high performance tyres in sizes smaller than 16"s are getting pretty rare.
  22. talk about deforestation! i remember seeing the commerial units like that 10-15 years ago. Huge monsters. I'm surprised, though i shouldn't be of seeing it move into a much smaller scale/ "consumer" version.
  23. http://image30.webshots.com/466/0/96/4/2544096040099946657uzResi_fs.jpg rear window is a very loose term there. as are most se7en descriptions.
  24. Tom- i can't find ur phone number at the moment. here's my cell : 516.312.4494 call me later. i'll be leaving in about 20 minutes. it will probably be for coffee after i pick up the wheels.
