  1. i'm registered. looks like i'll make the trip down saturday morning. hopefully i'll get there to catch most of heat 1. hopefully the weather will clear up early on friday so i can swap wheels tomorrow instead of saturday. martin, let me know if u want co-drive. Tom, thanks for the offer. Thats awesome. we can stop off at a supermarket and pick up food on the way back. i'll be able post for the Mr Mic slot later tinight. I see a few MkIII mr2s have joined the party.
  2. i have contengincies to prevent this. my secrets may get shared over the PA system. how could u go wrong. people usually have to pay for autoX and a show separately!
  3. a HA! found 'em! mod 100 mod 102 mod 103
  4. nope. gotta use torrents and look for the eurosport (iirc)footage. i was keeping up with downloads up until my harddrive crashed and needed servide right before 7/7/07. i have last season burned to dvds if u want 'em.
  5. i like jeff's expression after that car went thru the dirt in front of him:lol:
  6. WHAT! u have someone from NY and California u decied to flake. as secretary and former acting president its ur duty to attend. and besides, its good weather, last runs at Ripken. i got lots of softbits stuff. tom wants input of what blow money on this winter. mazda wnats to talk tyres. i may try to announce and get banned for life for all philly scca events! c'mon, how could u go wrong. i figure i need 7 se7ens to get me out of bed saturday morning or i'll go to work saturday afternoon. don't make me do it... the OT will pay for Evo school next year
  7. now the forcast is sunny and low 60s! where's the asphalt assaulters!??!
  8. yeah cool whatever i'm in
  9. the instructor is too damn lazy to go pro solo. nope, its my car. he just went for one ride to help leaqrn how to read cones and probably other stuff too in my first autoX. i beleive he had his biggest issures fiting around the steering wheel. i don't have the lower floor and my S type seats have some padding that moves ur legs higher. http://www.momousa.com/detail.php?category=16&group=145 may be a good wheel, and quick release will allow u to get in with much less fuss. since u are in Cali, look up California Caterham Club, and try to meet up with them at their next gathering so u can get some first hand feel and inspiration from what u want out of a se7en.
  10. odd how i too sometimes torque bolts to inch pounds instead of foot pounds. i bet ur notes were misplaced as well with regard to those bumpers
  11. u'll be thin enough to fit, but u would definitely want a taller roll bar to accomodate ur height. if u go for a caterham u may want to opt for the lower floor as well. http://www.steguisfoto.com/albums/Motorsports/NYR-Autox-5-13-2007/IMG_9483_Fixed.jpg the driver, me is 5'7". teh instructor, in the white helmet is like 6'5" and ur proportions.
  12. L or XL? i wear a L. i'll see what I can get (if) before i come down otherwiseBo's site
  13. we'll see what the weather situation is come wednesday. that will determine which car I take. Al, any plans? someone tell Lance to get the new owner of his former car to come out with previous owner. or if I take Snake Bit he can co-drive anyone up late on friday and has a piece of floor i can crash on after leaving work? driving 3+ hours before competition makes me want to hurt cones! http://www.badillustrations.com/images/retiredcone_shirt_lrg.jpg
  14. calling for rain over the weekend. unless the weather makes a turn for the better and they will definitely have room(registration cap), i don't think i will make the trip. i'll have plenty of OT back in NY anyway :skep: edit: maybe if i hear anything about those wheels/tyres i'd consider coming down in the wagon.

  20. worst kind of transaction. he's gonna find u ringing the door bell at 7am every nice sunday morning next year saying " time to clean the top of the valves. :jester: hope ur getting something fun to replae in Lance.
  21. i nearly went thru the same thing last year. My 7 has the caterham vin witha delaware label. it was fine for massachusetts, so when NY started to rais objection i started a fit, invoke the 9th amendment. eventuallly they accepted the Caterham # in all its forms.
  22. pm me more details on the dry sump setup wheels/tyres. size tyres, lug pattern, and shape(conical or flat) and price. any other info... thanx
  23. Modified classes are running late that day?
  24. dave, any luck with the NYDMV?
  25. another thing that did not happen was an experiment with autoX BRACKET RACING. the event chair was toying with it if there was time in the afternoon. i have been thinking, rather obsessing over this idea the last 36 or so hours. yeah, not much sleep, and i'll be stuck here at work for another overnight:crazy: , but the more and more i play with the setup, the more and more i like the idea. drivers get paired up and the closest to their Dial In (avg, fastest,or something else) advances to the next round. some logistic issues i think i planned solutions to, but i really really think it will be a fun experiment. if u go by avg time, or what i figured, average of a participant's runs of the first heat except the first run, and thenuse that as their dial in. the fastest cars are not guarenteed to to be the best. and if don't run clean, u probably coned away the challenge. a large field could go 6-7 rounds deep!
