  1. broomstick points are the rollbar and top front member on the space frame under the nose cone. The windscreen has no structural intergrity so it should not be used.
  2. there should be plenty of nice days. i'll return to some oft postponed stuff around the house.
  3. Friend has one of those for a GT3. obviously not a slimmed down edition like yours.
  4. the most current SNELL standards are the 2010s.
  5. TKX in Huntington appears to be the latest flavor in the area. Lynmor Motorsports in huntington may be able to help. I haven't had an alignment done on the 7 because, it's not really fine tunable yet. But i think that will have to change. I'm thinking about buying camber gauge and toe plates because they will get use on the other cars as well.
  6. Awesome time was had by all and we were all allowed to compete on the 2nd day. We're such trouble.
  7. My 7 had the valves already as the pull lever in the far right corner halts the coolant flow. my feet are surrounded by heat. Engine and tranny to the right, headers on my toes, and exhaust and cat on the left.
  8. Looks like I will be trying to warm tyres for Norm Beaver. Danny Kao has forwarded me info for rank. Situation averted. Thanks to Mazda for his timely response w/ Norm's email address.
  9. Crap on a stick starts early. Co-driver w/ the tow rig cancels. broke down for a 2nd time in 2 days in Missouri w/ his wife, MIL, and BIL coming up from Texas. He is on his way there. Norm, Chuck, or Frank, if your reading this, would any of you want a co-driver?
  10. actually, http://www.autox4u.com. There will be the occasional event at Englishtown still, but everything in north joisey will be at the Meadowlands usually. NJ BMWCCA has a different site, but NNJR SCCA, NNJR PCA, and MSNE(NASA) use the meadowlands their primary.
  11. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5146/5745094452_e5b0c4de3c_b.jpg i guess Croc could have polished the car less this weekend and paid a visit down the road. poor showing by myself. 1st time on A6s saturday and started to get used to the grip in the afternoon. Sunday was overcast and cool so no heat what soever developed. On to Dover, De National Tour in 2 weeks hopefully. 8th of 9. Raw timed the car in 7th, a LS6 powerded 914, but lost on PAX multipler. Warren Shiff may attend if the weather cooperates. he said he plans to see the DC and Va contingent in mid June.
  12. I should be there.
  13. better question is will my co-driver let me beat him. My question is the little old lady who can't see over the dashboard in her Miata gonna show. I need to claim my revenge!
  14. co-driver found w/ tow rig. so i'm covered for the NT and NEDviv. My ass will be handed to me.:driving: Build some tyre warmers to minimize the heat cycles between run groups.
  15. maybe I should scrub them in for @ Dover in early June for you?
  16. can this thread be deleted because he may be sitting in my car by the end of the year for PR stuff for ME. That won't have a chance of happening with on a simple background/google check.
  17. congrats on enjoying it today.
  18. TT1 rules require far greater safety equipment that my 7 has. basically full race prep w/ cages. I would work or whatever else they need done. I hope this event does really well.
  19. this is very tempting to go down to NC to volunteer for.
  20. i've found speedcats to be the wrong shoe for wide feet. Check out Pilotis. after that, probably going to the sporting goods stores to find wrestling boots would work.
  21. if a Caterham one can't be found at a reasonable price, SBFS has the hoods that are 2 pieces that work as a full top.
  22. took the MeOtter into work after a weekend of fog and wetness. this afternoon was nothing but blue skies and open roads except for 20 minutes of one bottleneck. When I woke up after my nap, of offshore fog/mist had begun to creep in. se7enwise, don't bother me til '12.
