So Vlad, did I miss the big announcement? No pictures?

Todd is almost never the biggest horsepower car out there. He often races up in class just to challenge himself. No one, no one can out brake Todd. And he’s a good guy too. Great Drive Todd, can’t wait til you find that 23B of your Dreams. Tom.

I have one of each. So I guess that means I’m Bi. 🤣

Clams Rule!!! 👍

I just got home and unloaded the truck and it looks like I inadvertently picked up someone’s blue Sparco racing suit bag. Let me know who’s it is and I’ll get it back to you. Tom

We had perfect weather, a great group of drivers and several spectators/future owners. A few mechanical issues but all but Dez were able to get their runs in. Today I think everyone had their full share of track time as we got a bonus of a couple double length sessions. Five of us hung around for a beer then dinner and there are just two of us staying the night before heading home. Jay is hard core. Last off the track and will drive his Seven back to Connecticut tomorrow. Real hard core. Thanks to everyone for making the effort to participate. This really is a special opportunity to get our cars out on track and have some fun in a safe fashion. Hopefully we will be allowed to do it again next year. Tom

I quit after 4 runs. Diehards are doing the last one about now. The session after lunch was interesting 😱😱😱. They decided to let the open wheel group run with us because they had both of their earlier seasons cut short due to the F1 car spinning out and stalling in both sessions. The interesting part is that we didn’t know that and these guy’s weren’t waiting for pointbys. It certainly got you looking in the mirrors a lot more.

Having done a few fiberglass repairs over the years. It’s not difficult or too costly. West marine had a nice fiberglass repair kit that has most of what you need. Minus the sand paper. Those cracks don’t look to difficult to fix. The expensive part is the painting. Give it a try. Nothing to lose. Tom

One week away now. Looks like we have a definite fourteen with a potential of a couple more if they get their rears in gear. We met the new Drivers Club Director yesterday on his first day in the job and he’s a good guy who will work with Croc on setting up the run group details. We will try to set up in the large event garage as we have in the past depending on when we are allowed into the paddock as there is another event going on on Saturday. We have reservations for a dinner at the Pub out by the pool on Saturday for those who are arriving on Saturday. Safe Travels Tom

We will miss you Mike. I still can’t believe you are driving around in a Miata. How embarrassing. 😝. I hope you come to your senses and buy your fourth Se7en. we are less than two weeks away from the event now. Those of you still fettling with your cars need to turn up the wick and Get R Done. See you soon. Tom.

The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale

Congratulations. Hopefully we will see you at NJMP in a few weeks. Tom -
Another plus is that there are a few people there with experience and skill to help out. When Jeff broke a front wheel hub, I had a spare that was back ar my house. Someone made the trip to pick it up and he got it installed and only lost a session or two as I live about an hour and a half from the track. So definitely give it a shot if you are able. Tom

Four weeks to go until our Sevens Gathering at NJMP. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Hopefully Croc will be allowed back into the country in time. Hopefully Simon can keep his current engine intact until then. Hopefully Roman can get his car out of storage, Hopefully Steve is hard at work polishing his car to its usual mirror gloss. And Hopefully all coming have a safe uneventful drive to the track. Make sure your belts are in date, and your Helmet too, although I think they still have some rentals available. See you all soon Tom

@spindrI went to the track on Friday and asked both the operations manager and the CEO about the one car two driver possibility. Unfortunately they both suggested that if the two of you wanted to drive you could alternate between the seven’s run group and the green/ white run group depending on skill level. But both of you would have to register. Sorry. I took a good run at it and tried to play a few different tact’s but I can up short. Hopefully, you can still make it Jeremy. Tom
-
Welcome back Justin. Croc just told me Kevin just signed up as well. It’s looking like we will have 13-15 cars at this point assuming Steve and Roman can make it. Still room for more as 15 cars on a 2.2 mile track is not crowded at all. Again our run group will be Sevens only which is unique at most track events. Vlad And Carl hopefully we will see you next year. Tom.

Jeremy, Hans are NOT required. 5 or 6 point in date harnesses ARE required and checked at Tech. As for two drivers, by policy each driver would need to register. But if you have a street car as well as the Seven then the other driver could run in either the green or white group, so that you each get the five full sessions each day. I am planning on going to the track this Friday. I will ask the operations manager if they will allow one registration for the two of you as you will just get the five runs total sharing the car. No promises as it’s a long shot. But I will give it a shot. I’ll post the answer once I get one. Tom

I never use the clutch other than to get it rolling in first. With the paddle shifters it’s so smooth even flat to the floor on the throttle. Same with downshifts. Just lift and it’s really smooth. I sent the gearbox to Sadev when I replaced the clutch a year or so ago. When I asked what gear oil they recommended they said. “ whatever you were using as there was almost no wear.
-
I have the Caterham 6 speed on my yellow car and the Sadev with paddle shifter in the Orange one. With the dual plate clutch I don’t think there is anyway I could drive it on the street. It just likes to go fast. Shifting at mild or low throttle is brutal. But flat out with foot to the floor it’s like butter. The six speed is good on the street and track. You just have to heel/toe on the downshifts. The Sadev is just a slight lift and you can go down several gears effortlessly.

Carl, hopefully your wife will be good as new after the surgery. Take good care of her. Twenty two years ago my kit arrived and I had to go rent a truck to pick the boxes up at customs. Apparently a box of stuff I ordered from Pegasus was delivered to the fro t door and my wife stepped on it when she went out the door breaking her ankle. I couldn’t be there to take her to the hospital. I am still in the doghouse. 😜 Steve, we will hopefully see you then. It wouldn’t be the same without you. 🤞. Tom

Jay, I hope you have a mild case and will bounce back quickly. I will count you as a definite. 👍 By my count you are number 10. So hopefully we don’t lose any one and maybe pick up a few more. Maybe some of the new owners on the east coast will be up for a road trip. Vlad, good luck with the new addition. Make sure to let us know when the big day happens. It just may qualify Page for an award. 😜

It’s about 8 weeks until our Sevens at NJMP event. Hopefully those who plan on coming are ready or at least have all the parts needed to get ready. I’m waiting for a radiator for the Orange car and need to install a new ignition switch on the Yellow car. I know of one other long time participant that might need to find and install a Duratec 2.0l if anyone has a spare on hand. Original interest level was pretty sparse when we first posted. This might be the swan song if the interest is not there as NJMP will not be as kind to give us our own sevens run group for less than 10 cars. Looking forward to seeing you, hopefully we will see CATKONG. 🤞🤪

The Sevens event at NJMP just got a whole lot safer and there is no longer and risk of stone damage. You in a hairdressers car is appropriate 🤣. So long Mike. I was looking forward to a spirited debate with you but I knew you’d turn tail and run this year.
