  1. Last week I asked for a count as it’s not available on motorsportreg .com for some reason. As of last week we were not at the cap and unless we have a last minute rush, I think we will be fine. Croc may chime in when he wakes up.
  2. Sorry I’ll bring this one to correct it.
  3. Good luck with the sale Mike. You were one of our early and regular attendees At our NJMP Se7ens days. You will be missed. Hopefully you will get one last run next week. Tom
  4. Good luck to you Carl. Jay I’m sorry to hear of your misfortune. And Vlad. I don’t even know what say about your travails. But you guys are all scaring the crap out of me since I signed up for a track day this Friday. I’m going to be babying the car and going even slower than I usually go, hoping to keep the car together. Hope to see you on track soon. Fingers crossed. Tom.
  5. I have a right hand mounted alternator on my 2.3 L Duratec in an SV.
  6. Just two weeks away from the Saturday arrival for our Se7ens event. Get those last minute details done or for those of you who are ready it’s time to polish. Looking forward to a fun couple of days. Bartman, you should drive up an take a look at my Sadev, and paddleshift set up. See you all soon. Tom
  7. All good here. Got two tornado warning alerts. Headed for the basement. But luckily that was the extent of our experience. No loss of electricity, no trees down and no leaks. Hope everyone else did as well. I hope Croc can swim as his place is on the water
  8. Paul, check your calendar again. The event is Sunday, Monday this year with optional karting on Saturday afternoon. FYI. Tom
  9. It’s getting closer. We are now just four weeks away from our Se7ens gathering/ track days at NJMP. Now’s the time to start panicking and get those last minute little details sorted. Well for Croc and Vlad maybe a little more than details. We are looking forward to another fun event, both on track and off. It’s always a good time in the pits between runs and at breakfast, lunch and dinner. So even if you aren’t interested in tracking your car, or if it’s not finished, you are more than welcome to come hang out with us other Se7en owners, with or without your car. Tom
  10. That picture is deceiving too. While he did damage to the arms, most of the sheetmetal that got bent were some aero mods that he made for auto crossing. If you look closely you will see that the clamshell fender on that side is not even damaged.
  11. That turn can bite you if you turn in too early and take more than a foot of the inside curbing. If you drop a wheel on the exit and don’t drive off on to the grass on the left. You WILL tag the wall on the inside. That turn has collected quite a few cars.
  12. Absolutely Mike. Are you saying the days of being AKA the notorious “Blue Enima” are over?
  13. And Jeff hasn’t even met Kitcat yet, And he thinks we’re nut cases.
  14. We are running on Thunderbolt both days which is a great track for our Se7ens, There are 12 turns with only two being left turns so after a few laps you shouldn’t have any issues finding your way around, but it is a technical track that rewards good lines so that you never really master it. I suggest going to you tube and watch a few of Crocs, mine or other track day videos on TBolt. It’s a good way to learn the track in my opinion. Tom
  15. My recommendation is to send a message to Croc explaining your prior driving experience including all trackdays you’ve done. NJMP is very safety conscious and we definitely want a event free of any drama. There is passing with a point by in our Se7ens only sessions so you need to at least be able to look in your rear view mirrors often enough not to be leading a parade. Croc and I usually act as lead cars for a few laps for those with experience but new to NJMP,, assuming the track signs off, to get you familiar with the turns, braking points and general flow of the track. For those who this will be their first timer on track, starting out in the novice green group gives you a chance to learn the track and your car without worrying about being passed. Most have moved up to our Se7ens run group after several sessions once they demonstrate proficiency to NJMP instructors.
  16. I had Steve at SBD do a remote Dyno tune for me that worked out well. I went to a shop with a dyno and a good WIFI connection and he was able to monitor the Dyno pulls and make instantaneous adjustments to the 3D map. That may be an option for you. Tom.
  17. @Pokeyi believe my cage does have an FIA certification sticker. I’ll check when I get home next week. Tom
  18. The original owner of my Orange SV who was 6’8” had a custom cage built extra tall with double side impact bars. I think it was built by caged but it could have been Arch. Croc may remember which. Tom.
  19. WOW! Kitcat is back! The earth’s wobble is now fixed! We are back in balance. It’s now officially a party. Tom.
  20. Vlad, what does the head gasket look like? Any obvious breaches?
  21. https://youtu.be/wzX-eQGBfjE This is an oldie but goodie.
  22. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/hubs-and-bearings/620-wheel-bearing-kit-front-pre-2003-cars.html https://caterhamparts.co.uk/hubs-and-bearings/116-hub-front-aluminium-41-4-pcd-ford-pre-2003.html that is assuming prior owner did not do the upgrade which included a thicker stub axel as well as stronger hub and different bearings.
  23. I should note that my plaque does not say Seven America, like Jeff’s does.
  24. Vlad, mine is a true Superlight. Not an SLR. However my engine is a VHPD spec Rover K series which was what was in the SLRs in the UK versions
