  4. I agree that the Silver one above is an awesome looking car. I can't remember where I picked this example up from, but I thought it was a good looking example as well. Might not have any luggage room or much of a gas tank though. Tom
  5. Model A Ford?
  6. :rofl::rofl::smilielol5: Excellent!!! Tom
  7. Where is the Moderater on this site? How can you let Martin post a picture like that on this Forum. Short Sleeve Shirt, Sunny and Warm. That's just not right. :toetap05: Why should he be happy and warm!!!! Happy New Year Martin.:flag: Tom
  8. Happy New Year to all! I'll Start it off. My Resolution this year is to Burn Up as much Sunoco 100 octane GT Race fuel as I can to help Warm this area of the Country up. It snowed again today. This is ridiculus, Come on Spring. Here's hoping for a Safe and Healthly Driving New Year to all. Tom
  9. Merry Christmas to All and a have Happy New Year! Got a bag of bean bag filler, a couple of vaacum bags and a quart of resin to make a bead seat. (My wife still can't figure out what the bean bag filler is for) :smilielol5:
  10. Well, the totals in and guess what, it was 23.5 inches. Those knuckleheads can't even give and accurate current forcast, let alone predict the future. It's all based on "Models" and they are only as good as the data they start with. :willy_nilly::willy_nilly::willy_nilly: Now back to shoveling. Tom
  11. Sitting here watching the snow pile up. 15-20 inches total expected. We decided to host a Snowed In party for the neighborhood. Should be a long night. Hope the power stays on and the Booze holds out.
  12. Awesome, Tom. Is that a standard chassis? Tom
  13. Think what it must have took to get this big puppie off the ground. At least this guy has some ground clearance.
  14. That's a great looking wheel, Al. Is it for the Bus that you're going to tow the 7 with?:seeya: Damn, that thing is HUGE!!! Tom
  15. To the window level. It was pretty quick, he was driving along fine, then whoops, his front end went deep, He kept on the thottle and kept going. I on the otherhand stopped dead in the water, Pun intended, as It wasn't even my car. Steered right and we only went up to the bumpers. Don't remember if he had a snorkel on the Defender, but I remember them opening the doors and letting alot of water out when we caught up to them. Tom
  16. My cousin had a old Range Rover that he took to a dealer sponsored event in the Pine Barrens. There were over 40+ participants, doing the off road thing. We went up and down several very steep Rises (for NJ) with leaders lining you up and coaching you at the top. Pretty scary as going up you can't see any thing but sky due to the incline, Going down was no picknick either. Then they took us through a lake, I was driving when the guy in the Defender in front of us went down up to to the top of his doors. The guy at the other end of the lake was waving frantically to get us to move to the right. Apparently there was a steep dropoff on the left. We all made it through though, even the Defender. Pretty stout vehicles. Tom
  17. Gives new meaning to Jug. (what we use to call detention in HS)
  18. Washer fluid?
  19. Danny, thanks, that would be fun, but have you checked the weather forcast for Saturday? 40's rain and possible snow. That's Evo conditions not a Seven's. Tom
  20. :nopity:Never happened when he drove a Buick. Guess he can't keep it in the fairway all the time.
  21. 10 pounds a tire? or 10 pounds in total? Big difference. Al, I just talked to a guy who has his uncles Lotus 7 from the early 60s, and hasn't had it out in over 30 years. I may go take a look at it. I may want to talk to you about the restoration of yours. Happy Thanksgiving Tom
  22. Danny, if by "Dedion hub", you mean the Dedion "Ear" it it a common problem even with the new Caterham 8-10 spoke wheels. A little light maintenance with an angle grinder on the ear will sort that out easily. Tom
  23. Box, my street tires and wheels were Avon Cr500's 175x55x13 on I believe 6.5 or 7 inch wheels, at the front and Avon Cr500 205x55x13 on 8.5 inch rims on the rear. I just replaced the Avons with the Toyo R888's. Rears are 205x60x13, fronts I think are 175 or 185x60x13. The wheels are the Mike Barnby 3 piece Magnisium wheels that use to come with the R500's before Caterham switched to their 8 or 10 spoke jobbies. Same ones pictured on Craig Chima's car that's being discussed on another thread. The Hoosiers are on 10x13 3 piece Kodiak wheels at all four corners. Don't remember the tire size off the top of my head. If needed I can go take a look at them. Tom
  24. Danny, good seeing you again too. Next year will be fun to run with you. Can't wait. As for slick tire pressures, I run my Hoosiers at around 12-12.5 psi cold. When I ran on the track at Barber, I bumped them up to 15-16 cold. It was still pretty chilly on Sunday around 58 or so, and from past experience, it's almost impossible to get or keep any heat into them when it's that cold out. I think that next year, once it warms up in the spring/summer, you are going to see what these cars can really do with new rubber. And if they come up with the next site that they are working on, (a large concrete runway) grip will be incredible. Tom
  25. Not really 7 related but definately a general tech tip. Enjoy Tom [/url]
