  2. Great post, thanks for telling the story.
  3. This looks good too.... http://performancedrive.com.au/ron-howard-to-produce-fascinating-niki-lauda-and-james-hunt-1976-f1-movie/
  4. But surely it is more a question of if you are driving closest to the curb in any country. I do not think LHD or RHD really makes much of a dif on their home turf, ( tho after learning and using RHD in UK for 15 years I thought it was maybe nicer to have steering input with my right hand and shift left) .The obvious biggest problem, jokes aside about drive thrus and toll boothes ,has to be overtaking (passing), I hate to even rely on a passenger to check if my way is clear, let alone bump him/her out a few feet and listen to their opinion, or just go for it blind;partic in a 7 that absolutely hates to sit behind anything on the road for more than 12 seconds.
  5. Anybody see this yet? http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1709218841/
  6. oh, The pic,, ha,
  7. Merry Swikmas from Vancouver WA
  8. the 7 could end up on this list too....
  9. but it does look like a frog that had a wet tampon rammed up the jacksie.
  10. what colour socks the driver was wearing?
  11. why not re-open the "cars for sale " section to everybody, I mean ,come on, it is probably the section most look at first ? Anyway, most of the sevens listed in this section are found by paid up members who re post the cars for sale by non paids that they have discovered, which is a boon to everyone as these cars are not falling out of the trees.
  12. even for sale ?
  13. Here Here ! The Japanese Zero was kinda like the Lotus 7 of the sky back then evidently, can hardly believe it had a kill ratio of 12 to 1 ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A6M_Zero
  14. Snaggles in earlier posts was asking for input on prices etc;and by the way, how do you know what my, or any other members financial situation is. The points raised are I believe valid ,not just for this car but any in this price range.I am sure that even you would concede that in this market an exotic car is worth what a buyer is willing to offer and then accepted by a seller. This is a very rare car with a small group of qualified buyers and it is RHD. It did and does need full specs, pics and info to present the car in it's best light. The time scale to sell a car in 3 days on here is very small, maybe it would do better with such limits on Hemmings or Ebay. Anyways Snaggles I wish you the best of luck in your venture. Maybe KittyKat could hook you up with the mysterious and wealthy Tony V.
  15. Wow Snaggles,God Bess ya and all but.... First off to sell a 7 here or anywhere by this coming Weds is a bit hopeful to say the least,, partic in this price range, which is about as high as they get. You paid $95 K on an 07 RHD ...did you import it direct from UK?, what is the history and spec on the car, if is it registered and titled in what state and as what? You need some better pics and info to attempt to sell a car in that price range on here. I think that if you want $70 K on a car like this it helps to have it complete with all information and a lot of quality pics. How did it get banged up? So if you sell it via Park Place will they not take a big percentage? What is your selling price on here...$67000.00 US dollars ?where is the car located for viewing? Oh, and with response to your original post re: what is my car worth I would have to say no where near as much as you might think.
  16. But John, would that not only indicate a member logging on which would show active status, even if that same member chose not to post a single word;hence skewing the "active" status numbers? I think the above is probably true as I do not think there is an active contributing 200. and on a lighter note....
  17. Nice stalker Duane. I agree that is also a fair price .
  18. which is actually about the number of members post anything at all ,and good ole boy back patting is most of that.:grouphug: Looking at the home page info we have 2000 members, with only 200 active, and just a fraction of that 200 talking about anything. Again quite sad.
  19. "I am sure if any individual private forum members had bid more than Tony V's friends did, they'd be the owners now." Quite sad no wonder this forum is dead on its feet.
  20. that is just the kitkat opinion. By the way Kit, did you not directly through this site contact the seller of this car and then act as a finder/middleman/agent on this car for an exoitic car buyers consortium in NY, and then in fact scotch a deal that was about to be closed by an individual private forum member who was about to buy this vehicle directly from the seller via this group ?
  21. yup how much?
  22. Why not put an ad up when you know what you are selling, with what parts and when you plan to sell it at what price, a few more pics might help too? Also helps to state where the car is.
  23. is a fkn understatement...
  24. WOW ! really?
