  1. Having driven the several of the 2005/2006 and several 60's originals at speed on various tracks, and having had the pleasure of driving both on the street at various touring events, personally, I'd rather have the 2005, or a 60's version over the new one (only able to sit in a pre-production car as of today). Call it a personal preference, but I prefer the cleaner body style of both the previous versions and do not believe I need to "audition" to own a new one just so I can say "yet, it's mine" so I can have my ego stroked...... Bill S.
  2. Don't feel bad for Skip, I am getting my 95M ready for sale, it is my 53rd documented Miata since 1990 As for Laguna Blue, I've owned 10% of the "R" production of them, a few standard black interior ones, and four tan interior ones. Laguna Blue is my favorite
  3. Blasphemy I say, I think you are a closet Laguna Blue lover...LOL!!!!!!!
  4. Now if it was only 1994/1995 Mazda Laguna Blue
  5. Skip, I think Kevin has had enough Miata drivetrains since selling me his two 91 BRG's  Besides, he likes BRG, and yours is more a cross between Grabber and Mariner Blue :smilielol5: Bill S.
  6. With all of the Cobra replicas and Lotus 7 replicas I brought them, taught them, and walked them through, Commonwealth in Ptown is well broken in ........ Bill S.
  7. HHHmmm, looks just like my first one..... Bill S.
  8. I also recommend using "Commonwealth Auto Tag" on High Street in Pottstown, as I have them well trained when it comes to kit cars . Bill S.
  9. Ever since the "Titles Unlimited" vs California fiasco, most if not all states watch for such paperwork, and can in some case flag the title, and send the car to the impound until everything gets straightened out. Guilty until proven innocent in those cases. I do not suggest that route. As for the PA title process, it's simple, easy, and spot on as posted above. While living there (I also used Blast from the Past), I went through the process with three Birkins, and over a dozen Cobra replicas without an issue. Bill S.
  10. While still living in NJ, I went to look at a Pantera and Contemporary Cobra replica he had on Ebay at the time. Actually bought an old Jeep Wrangler with a plow many years ago from him. He is right on the border of Bridgewater and Warren, NJ and appears to make a decent living by reselling. Bill
  11. Skip Cannon and I can tell you from vast experience with Miatas that the 1.6L engine is a rock solid item that can go for 100's of thousands of miles (my old 91 race car had 380,000 miles of hard use, with just normal, by the book maintenance for the drivetrain) without an issue. Plenty of power adders and tweaks available as well. Bill S.
  12. Lack of spare indoor garage space while we finish our home remodel is the deciding factor this year. :banghead:
  13. Same one I posted off the FFcars site
  14. No involvement in this one, but a $15,000 Westfield was just posted on the FFcars forum http://www.ffcars.com/forums/34-other-vehicles-sale-wanted/556689-1990-westfield-se-lotus-7-15000-a.html#post5282617
  15. Metal Ring, but I think you knew that from the start :leaving:
  16. I'm wondering the story on the non functional, 69 Mach I hood scoop, seems a waste of space to me. Gauge set up makes me wonder if this was going to be a rally type car with an actual passenger/navigator.
  17. Was alcohol involved?
  18. Great post, glad to see you are back in the saddle (so to speak). Did they allow you a moment of silence at the site of your Stalkers demise, maybe a memorial to be built using an old Desoto hubcap . Bill S. PS: Look on BAT this morning, there is a really nice, well built, street/track prepped Laguna Blue miata ending today.
  19. This was one of the first cars in the country, so I think yours is safe Of course if yours is also black and silver, and they were not built sequentially:leaving::jester:
  20. Tom, Long ago, when Dennis O. and I were reviewing the car at I believe the 3rd or 4th annual Double Venom Spring Fling in Ohio, he mentioned the heated windscreen as being standard equipment. Boy did we flog that black demo around the parking lot all weekend . Bill S.
  21. It's nice, but not as nice as the 427SC inspired roadster
  22. Think he still has a ways to go pricing wise, don't you?
  23. Sure, we always like to see a well documented build.
  24. Is the car also licensed for the street in Alabama, or does it just have an Alabama (Titles Unlimited sourced) title, with the UK registration still in play? Also, how does the title read?
