I can only say , " Thank You " to all that attended. It's really is a fun filled weekend with like minded people. I'm kind of proud to say I went into and over turn 5 a lot

faster than needed, and enjoyed the grassy side of turn 5. It really shoots you south if you get it alittle wrong... Happy to meet new friends and see my old ones.

Thanks again Mike and Tom.... ps, Thanks to Scott Lentz for the nice new Caterham R500.... Hell of a guy !!! LOL

Mike, Tom, friends

What a terrific event! A huge thank you for such a phenomenal organization and for such a warm welcome as usual. It was a real pleasure seeing everyone again this year, even if it was for a short Sunday in my case. .. worth every minute of it. I truly enjoyed pushing the driving limits along with Jeff, Mike^2, Simon (my red R400 brother from another mother), and Tom and experimenting with very late breaking.. just fun times. I just wished I could have spent more time with all of you over the long weekend but it will have to be for next yr. Hopefully with my wife Kelli who would like to give it a try.. Thanks again for the great event.

talk to all very soon...

thanks!!!!

Let me add my thanks to Mike and Tom for a sensational event. And concerning the point bys……….I assure you all that I wasn’t changing a tire, I was in fact in the car driving along. Also I stopped by the parts store on the way home and have replaced my mirrors worn out by looking in them so much. An unexpected extra bonus from driving holding the steering wheel with one arm so much of the time while pointing you guys all by over and over ……it seems I bulked up my puny arm muscles quite a bit.

NJMP is (as they say in my home town of Boston) wicked pissa. Fun track, everything was in such great condition………..and plumbing and running water for those of us with more delicate washroom requirements …..you guys really have a first class facility.

Thanks for including me in the fun and letting me tag along. I have more than quadrupled my time behind the wheel in the Locost with just that one weekend. Sure beats driving up and down the street then hiding in the garage until after the cops go by……..neighbors, schmeighbors……….I made a list of “go fast” ………er “go faster” parts, but when “driver” kept showing up I stopped and went looking for another pen.

Great food, great fun, great folks and great weather. Thanks again for allowing me to join in the fun. Pumped for next year if you’ll have me.

Best regards,

Fred

Ditto the thanks to Croc and Tom. This event is a TON of work, and they do it all with amazing enthusiasm and good cheer. We really got this going at the LOG event in Gettysburg 6 years ago. We had so much fun there that Tom and Croc cooked up a plan to duplicate the experience at NJMP.

Once I get settled in here (arrived at 11:00 pm last nite), I will add some photos but it looks like most cars, participants and angles have been covered.

Some random thoughts: Wow was karting ever fun! Anyone coming next year should seriously consider doing it. And, NJMP has a swimming pool, next to the bar! So after a long hot day on track it is wonderful to jump in the pool then rehydrate with a micro-brew. Only a few of us made it poolside so I'd recommend to all for next year. I found that a driver's suit really enhanced the experience in the car. It breathes well at speed and is only uncomfortable in the pits, where you can take it off. My new helmet was remarkably quiet and that made the on-track experience much better. Bottom line: I cant wait for next year!

Some are obvious, others not. The lovely red/yellow car is an Elva (not a Lotus 21, which I thought). It wasn't part of our group, which just shows we aren't the only guys with cool cars.

The Lucas headlight is from Al Navarro's beautiful Lotus 7. In the spirit of this group (started by Al actually), we let him bring his car, even though it is not a real Caterham:).

Stewart's perfect blue Caterham is being piloted by his wife, Colleen, who seems to be enjoying the moment.

Is there such a thing as a "dirty trailer queen"? (Keep it clean, this is a family show folks!)

I had just flown in from San Jose late Friday night, but wanted to see what the trackway that Tom and Mike started a few years ago had turned into. So I woke up at 3 AM California time, loaded SB1341 on a trailer, and drove down with my kids. 100% worth it. Nice to see some old friends from the 7-7-7 (and earlier!) days like Scott Lentz, Michael D., Norm B., and Mike M. — and also make some new ones.

I'm so glad this has turned into a regular thing and hope it continues for years to come (and I hope to drop in again). Kudos to Tom and Mike for their vision, organization, effort, and good humor always.

Al,

I would have to say 'yes'. I never trailered my Stroker to an event for the primary purpose of protecting it. I trailered it in case I had to do exactly what I did with it back in Feb.....trailer it home after an accident. Now.....since that accident totaled the Storker, and because the car was (still is) sporting lots of Texas dirt for the return trip to AR, does that make the car 'dirty trailer trash'? :jester:

Hi to all the fine folks I met on my adventure to NJMP. I have made it safely back to Colorado. The event was just outstanding and I will definitely attend again in the future. I will followup with some more information on questions in Croc's thread on the comparison of our two cars after some rest. Thanks again, Tom

Also have to add my thanks to Tom and Mike for our track days at NJMP. Great to be together with and get a chance to meet a bunch of other 7 owners. If you think about it, were a rather rare breed. Learned about some maintenence issues with my car and how to solve them. Well, SOME of them anyways! Lots of track time, good food and camraderie. Got to see the new Birkin XS. Very impressive car and good luck to Tom on his new venture. Sign me up for next year.

Mike and Tom,

Bev and I can't thank you enough for organizing this event. This is our 5th year there and the 3rd year I have run on track. We are having the fun of our lives each year at this event. So many great people and cars! And Don's hospitality is second to none. The track and facilities are outstanding, and the only thing that would make it better, would be to do it a few times each year. Thanks to everyone who came too! Especially those that have to travel from far to get there. Without you all it would not be the same. We can't wait until next year. I hope to see you all come back again.

I will post pics as soon as I get the car back in street clothes and can start playing with getting all the pics together.

Dave and Bev

By now everyone should have received/seen the email with the high resolution 2 group photos and the link to Windshadow if you want to buy photos of you being good-looking studs out on track. If I missed anyone in the email please let me know. I will post a few of the low res images on here in a few days.
