anduril3019 Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) This looks interesting. Maybe a stage or two below the recent BAT project. https://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/d/frenchtown-1962-lotus/7389624914.html Could be a great project if the frame isn't too rusty. Looks like a lot of original (and non original) equipment that may be of interest to the authenticity discussion. Same seller also has an Elan and a Mini. https://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/d/frenchtown-1966-lotus-elan/7389645609.html https://cnj.craigslist.org/pts/d/frenchtown-1962-morris-mini/7389607684.html Edited October 19, 2021 by anduril3019
panamericano Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Last registered in 1977. Well before any of the replica / air cars became a thing. Major job though. Numbers? Title? A lot left unsaid. What say the experts?
SENC Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Big ask! The Elan seems closer to reality pricewise.
Croc Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 @Al N. Calling Al - These are close to being your neighbors, any backstory that you could share?
mrmustang Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Hmmmm, I'll be in NJ next week, but believe SWMBO would not allow me to try and squeeze a 5th car in the 2 car garage :D

"They truly are survivor cars, that should be preserved in their current state." - I think this statement is just a tad optimistic when it comes to the Seven! If anybody checks out the condition of the Seven, I'd love to hear a report.

Christopher smith Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Based on my experience I would guess a full reskin at a minimum and perhaps some repairs to rusted frame areas? Rebuild/replace brake/clutch electrical likely needed so quite a project. But it does look like a genuine Lotus from the pictures. I already have mine but could possibly drive there to have a look anyway, just for fun.
coffee break Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Let's see, no paperwork, no VIN/chassis # listed, it could be dodgy. Has anyone done a 7 ratrod?
anduril3019 Posted October 21, 2021 Author Posted October 21, 2021 Most 7 drivers are a little dodgy, so, it sounds like a match made in heaven for someone.
