Wow.....prices are really in the tank. I paid $3k more for a similar car in 2003. And that was a good deal back then.

Hey Mike, I think you just got the deal of the year with that car. It looks to be very nice.

Enjoy it , Steve

I guess both are liked by their owners. If you are into the heritage/pedigree thing, buy a Caterham, if you want to save serious $ buy a Birkin (or some other reputable make). But whatever you are going to buy try to test drive as many different options as you can.

At the end, any of the cars will probably be personalized by the owner and is only as good as you set it up.

As a matter of policy we try to stay away here from slagging other folks' preferences.

I believe that I did get a good deal. The seller appears to be a real stand-up guy too.

I do plan to personalize the car - as with every car I have or have owned.

Hello All,

Yep that was my Birkin that sold. I didn't feel comfortable making my first post an advert for my car, so I let others do it for me. The car is going to a new home in the rocky mountains. The new owner obviously knows a bit about small light cars as he already owns a modified Elise.

Now I can concentrate on building my 2002 roller Birkin, which will be on the members ride section soon.

cheers

Marine7,

Welcome aboard.

Lots of new people showing up today. Welcome to all of you.

Where in the Rockies is the Birkin headed to? If it is the Denver area please put the owner in touch with me, assuming the new owner is willing.

Skip,

We enjoyed several trackdays and last year's Concours D'Elegance together and didn't even say hello! I'm in LOCO and Peak to Peak Miata Club. Here's a pic of my Elise...

I felt/feel the same about making my first post a WTB (but couldn't help letting that slip out in my intro in another thread).. Was very nice meeting you yesterday, thanks for your time and patience with my questions etc.

Pity I missed this car but congrats to the new owner, you will be very pleased! MightyMike, your avatar matches my yahoo email addy, completebstard. (For those that grew up with the Young Ones they'd understand)!

Cheers,

Adam
