11Budlite Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 This is for sale by the gentleman who bought my 2002 Birkin roller, and he was a pleasure to do business with. The car has a $17,500 Buy-It-Now price which looks to be a good deal to me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-Birkin-S3-Lotus-Super-Seven_W0QQitemZ280457211634QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item414c8d6ef2
yellowss7 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 That's a nice car for that kind of money. Someone is going to get a good deal. Tom
slomove Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Wow.....prices are really in the tank. I paid $3k more for a similar car in 2003. And that was a good deal back then.
MHKflyer52 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Wow. Wish I had the extra capital to buy it as that is a smoking deal and one nice looking car.
southwind25 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Damn!! only 17,5??? amazing! wow thats a heck of a deal!!
DeanG Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Seems like a good car at a wonderful price. Congratulation!
S1Steve Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Hey Mike, I think you just got the deal of the year with that car. It looks to be very nice. Enjoy it , Steve
boss351 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I saw it today, very nice car! Now I need to find one for me!
DogsBollocks Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Anybody have any input on the pros and cons of Caterham V Birkin?
slomove Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) I guess both are liked by their owners. If you are into the heritage/pedigree thing, buy a Caterham, if you want to save serious $ buy a Birkin (or some other reputable make). But whatever you are going to buy try to test drive as many different options as you can. At the end, any of the cars will probably be personalized by the owner and is only as good as you set it up. As a matter of policy we try to stay away here from slagging other folks' preferences. Edited February 1, 2010 by slomove
MightyMike Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I believe that I did get a good deal. The seller appears to be a real stand-up guy too. I do plan to personalize the car - as with every car I have or have owned.
Pat Signorino Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Gotta say that's a great looking car! Let us know what you think after you drive it a bit.
Marine7 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Hello All, Yep that was my Birkin that sold. I didn't feel comfortable making my first post an advert for my car, so I let others do it for me. The car is going to a new home in the rocky mountains. The new owner obviously knows a bit about small light cars as he already owns a modified Elise. Now I can concentrate on building my 2002 roller Birkin, which will be on the members ride section soon. cheers
scannon Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Marine7, Welcome aboard. Lots of new people showing up today. Welcome to all of you. Where in the Rockies is the Birkin headed to? If it is the Denver area please put the owner in touch with me, assuming the new owner is willing.

Skip, We enjoyed several trackdays and last year's Concours D'Elegance together and didn't even say hello! I'm in LOCO and Peak to Peak Miata Club. Here's a pic of my Elise... boss351 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I didn't feel comfortable making my first post an advert for my car, so I let others do it for me. I felt/feel the same about making my first post a WTB (but couldn't help letting that slip out in my intro in another thread).. Was very nice meeting you yesterday, thanks for your time and patience with my questions etc. Pity I missed this car but congrats to the new owner, you will be very pleased! MightyMike, your avatar matches my yahoo email addy, completebstard. (For those that grew up with the Young Ones they'd understand)! Cheers, Adam
