Al N. Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Wow, I just looked at this clock/calendar device I have on my desk and realized that today is the 3rd anniversary of the 7-7-7 meet that sort of kicked USA7s.org into overdrive. What was initially started by Mazda E. as a forum for Rotus owners has become one of the primary sites for Se7en enthusiasts in North America — and around the globe. So a tip of the hat to Mr. Ebrahimi, the other founding members of the USA7s club, everyone who made the trip to Deal's Gap three years ago, and all the new folks who've made their way here since. We should start some sort of underground holiday or something...where all owners of original Sevens and LSiS cars pledge to either drive their car or at least start the motor/turn a wheel on the seventh of July every year despite the weather or family/work obligations! I can tell you that being without a Se7en for a few years has been like wandering in the wilderness. The good news is that SB1341 should be on the road and at LOG 30/Gettysburg in October. It won't be as fast as Orange/Mr. Orange, nor cover as many miles in the course of a year, but I'm sure it will deliver just as many smiles for its owner and passersby. Best, Al Navarro
MHKflyer52 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I drove my 7 to work today and did not even realize the today is 07-07. Still tryng to dry out as the fog here in the local area is so thick that it is almost raining and with no top or windshield wipers I must say that I am just a little wet but I do have the 7 smile and am looking forward to the ride home as it should be nice and clear by then. Thanks Mazda and the founding members and all the members for great site for all 7's. :driving: :auto: :cooldude:
powderbrake Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks to Mazda , and to Al, who put so much effort into the 7/7/07 meet, and the establishment of the USA7s website.
Kitcat Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Ditto the "props" to Al/Mazda. And, my se7en is outside in my office parking lot, tho I too forgot the significance of today's magical number.
slngsht Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Thank you guys. I did drive frankn7 last night, but with temps at 101 today, it's just a bit much. Maybe I'll fire her up tonight, or grab a beer and go sit in the garage for some quality time
Z3 Stalker Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Thanks to all associated with this site and the organization of 7-7-7, I was there for the Saturday with the Stalker guys but without my car. I sure was fun to see all the different variations on the theme, a good time was had by all. Stewart
scannon Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 +1 on the Kudos to Mazda and the rest of the founders. I've been driving the Cat all week but a cold front came in over night and the temps are in the low 60s with some rain so I won't be driving her but I plan to work on her this afternoon.
DeanG Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I was having a much better time on and at 7/7/7 that at work today 7/7/10. Best wishes to a 7ers.
KiwiBirkin Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I was pulling my car apart anyway its great to be part of such a awsome community :hurray:
Spaz Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Happy 7-7 I will sit in my 7, turn the steering wheel and make some noise. Hopefully in a fe weeks the motor will be back and ready to go in again. +2 on the Kudos to Mazda and the rest of the founders.
Alaskossie Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 It is still 7/7/10 here in Anchorage......but my car is several thousand miles away at the moment, so the only Seven motoring I'll do today is in my head. But in a few weeks it will be the jaunt from Colorado to the Historics at Monterey, California, then the week-long Oregon/Washington tour with John C. and Ed H., and then I'll point 'er North to Alaska.... Should probably be enough extended Seven motoring to last me for a while.... Thanks to Mazda and Al and all of the folks who have contributed so much to this site -- give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back!
11Budlite Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Thanks to Mazda, Al, and all those who have done so much for the se7en community! The trip to TOTD was a blast!!
Boxologist Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 didn't touch the 7 on the 7-7-07 aniversary. But i'll get plenty of seat time this weekend. Shame Chuck Spera decided to bail on coming to NY. would have been nce to see his funky fast hat again!
