xcarguy Posted September 8, 2015 Author Posted September 8, 2015 I have a feeling Shane would have gladly given up a couple inches of added roll bar height to avoid his sheet time and back discomfort! Yep. :iagree:
Paul Hill Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 For those that might care.... http://www.prpseats.com 1 800 317 6253 Temecula, CA I have dealt directly with the owner, Aaron Wedeking on a couple occasions but know from others that he has a great staff, can get things done in a hurry. They also supply belts and harnesses of various types. Check out their website then give them a call.
xcarguy Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 So...what do you do with the $500 crate after you unpack the chassis?
toedrag Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 So...what do you do with the $500 crate after you unpack the chassis? ROFL! Is your garage the staging area before you hoist it into a tree and add a ladder?
MichaelD Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Now that's a Tiny House. Could you hoist it up into their favorite tree?
xcarguy Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) No hoisting this baby up into a tree; where it sits is where it stays...for now, anyway. With my being in Houston (and everywhere else along-in-the Gulf, so it seems) with my new job, they (the kids) have taken possession of the man cave for the time being. :willy_nilly: At the very least, I did do a little work on the chassis the last time I was home. Paul Hill Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 So it's not just the kids needing adult supervision.....
Croc Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Shane you look good in that welding outfit! You remind be of Darth Vader when he tried welding. However, he just used the force... Are you going to paint or powder coat the chassis or leave it a la naturel?
xcarguy Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Shane you look good in that welding outfit! You remind be of Darth Vader when he tried welding. However, he just used the force... Are you going to paint or powder coat the chassis or leave it a la naturel? Mike, Plans call for powder coat. However, I could leave the beast 'in the raw' and do a rat rod Storker.
xcarguy Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 I feel like I've done this before. It's nice to have a neighbor who also owns a machine shop.
yellowss7 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Shane is the rumor true that you are going to put in a little 2.0L 4cyl? Or is that just a rumor that your wife started?:leaving: Tom
Paul Hill Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Or maybe he should start slow with a 5 hp Briggs? To be honest I'm surprised Robin allows him to use sharp tools unsupervised!
Croc Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) I am more than a little concerned about him using sharp tools? Look at the photo above - he even had to label his spot "driver" with a sharpie. I guess he does not know where to sit any more. Shane, have you thought about starting the road back to driving in one of those Barbie jeeps? They don't all come in pink and they have more sex appeal than a mobility scooter. I thought this serious road test really talked up the jeep well (well...to me anyway). :jester: Edited December 4, 2015 by Croc
xcarguy Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 Man, I am feeling the love this morning!
yellowss7 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) Shane you know the 7s gang at NJMP loves you. That's probably the Debauchery that Seb was referring to.:willy_nilly: Bring Larry up with you this year. That should slow you down a bit. Tom:seeya: Edited December 4, 2015 by yellowss7
