panamericano
I don't understand all the comments about the mud flaps. Those are standard issue on pickups, here in Texas. They come that way from the dealer unless you check a "delete" box, but you don't get a credit for that. However, looks like he took the gun rack off the roll bar. Kitcat
I have been following that auction also. I have appreciated the comments of SJ Morgan, a car nut (and seven nut) of Croc-like proportions.
panamericano
"...of Croc-like proportions" Oh sure. You talk like that about him when you know he's travelling. To which proportions might you refer? The huge toothy mouth, or the stubby arms, or the bulging eye balls...?

panamericano
Mike, I was only asking about the proportions because I'v never seen the Croc in person. Let me know your our less exotic travels bring you to Texas, preferably north east, it's big you know. Merry Christmas, or whatever is appropriate. Croc
Cheers Mark - I did get a good laugh out of it. There are better looking heads on a pimple. I know I am of generous proportions. But at least no small hands or feet, etc. like Xcarguy or Yellowss7 you know! I guess you are Dallas region. I will keep it in mind as my 2018 travel schedule slowly gets nailed together. Things are still fluid. Merry Christmas! Its Christmas eve where I am and the drinks are starting to be poured! PS: Why have our administrators not given us a Santa Claus emoticon? Croc
Hi Lightguy A suggestion might be to send a PM to Leeper on this forum. He had a really nice 83 Donkervoort S7 he was trying to sell at one point but I dont think he ever did? He is the only one I know of with a Donky on this forum. Other than this your next option is to import from Europe. However, even first half 1990s models (eligible for USA import under the 25 year old rule) are getting 50-60k euros these days. Latest top end models are 240k euros! Mobile.de is probably the best site for monitoring. Good luck! cheers mike

Good luck! cheers mike I'm in contact with the Donkervoort factory and they notify me whenever a 25+ year old car comes up. Cool cars and factory built but anemic performance compared to today's Caterhams etc. The last one they notified me about had 60,000 mile (100K kilometers) and sold in a week at 40K. Drum brakes out back. Add shipping and duties equals 50K easy and a six month wait if then. So I have to ask just how dedicated am I ? I will PM Leeper. Thanks.
