  1. Hi Tom, So how did the beach house fare.....hope it survived.....
  2. Now that is funny and I have to say that my wife and I have a 1996 Miata (1.8ltr. Black and Tan touring, 157642 miles and counting) and a 2000 Outback (driven the least since moving back to Calif.) and seven other vehicles between the two of us (yes I know I am a car nut) and that the Miata gets driven more than all the others vehicles just because it works ever time and is fun to drive even if it is not the fastest vehicle in our possession nor is it the slowest.
  3. The leaking valve cover gasket insures you keep your oil topped up and changed on a regular basis plus that is how your car marks it's territory as all British cars are required to....:jester:....
  4. Check your grounds.
  5. OK Croc.... that's funny I have to admit........
  6. Now that is what I call evacuating the area. Have fun in California while on vacation.
  7. But Mike why would you have that travel guide from downunder unless it is for the picture of the second generation Miata (NB) or maybe I should just not ask and you should not say. Either way your still OK as far as I am concerned. :seeya:
  8. Glad to hear that it was not as bad as the weather guessers where saying it was going to be and that things are getting back to normal for most people now.
  9. Bruce, It looks like you will have fire wood for next year.....just kidding and glad that it was not as bad as the news media was saying it was going to be. Tom, How did the new beach house fare? Mike, Did I understand that you garage had 6ft of water in it. Where did you have your 7.
  10. Thanks twobone for the complement and I will pass it on to the rest of the team. I have to say that the club, Santa Barbara Region Porsche Club runs four autocross's a year normally and that we have a group of people that work together to accomplish these events and that we have already started planning for next year’s autocross's. We will be running one more this year at the same location in October as a charity fund raiser (all proceeds to go to Habitat for Humanity). As you can see from the flier that I am one of the two co-chairs for the autocross team which consist of ten people that all help to get these autocross’s organized. This does not count the number of people that come out to help set the course the day before which usually takes about four hours as we set and mark all the cones for the event. The hardest part is the cleanup (taking down all the cones and packing the trailer) as everyone is tired at the end of the day but we seem to always get it accomplished and so far we as a group are all still talking to each other.
  11. That is neat. Wounder who's collections all those cars belong too.
  12. Here is a new photo of me and my 7 Autocrossing at Santa Barbara, Cailf. on 28 July 2011.
  13. Just a reminder for the Autocross in Camarillo, CA. at the airport and a link to the registration form. http://pcasb.org/pcasb/images/CamarilloAutoX_Sep2011Color.pdf
  14. Here is a link for all of you on the east coast that shows hurricane Irene and is updated every thirty minute. Use the Atlantic Floater 2 as it gives you the coastal outline as a reference. The IR Rainbow Image and Flash is a good one to look at along with the Water Vapor Image and Flash. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/satellite.shtml Be safe and don't wait till the storm is at you front door to seek higher ground if you live close to the ocean or one of the bays on the eastern shore.
  15. That is cool to find that and that it still works.
  16. Use a drum sander that you can get at most good hardware stores. Here is a link to one such tool. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=drum+sander
  17. Now that is funny.
  18. Hi breezy7, I also went to the site you posted and it works very well for me. Just took a while to down load and then it required an update to QuickTime 7 so that it could play.....figured it was on par for a clip on a 7.
  19. Nice looking 7 you have their and the wheels look good also. Where in PA are you located as I grew up just west of Philadelphia (about 30 miles from downtown) off RT 30.
