  2. Hello CJFusco, Glad to hear that your have found this group. Yes it is very dueable. I have built my car from scratch and did not know about either group until after I had finished my car. Here is a link to some photos of my build that you might find amusing. http://picasaweb.google.com/MHKflyer52/ALotus7ReplicaLocost Hope you enjoy and ask questions.
  3. Hay Mazda, The front parking lights coming on when the brakes are applied is good for when your spinning through the cones.......it lets everyone know if you have your foot on the brake.......HeHe...snicker...HeHe Not like I have ever been their myself. Have fun Down under. I should be landing in Phila Thursday afternoon for a week.
  4. "COLD" is not the correct word for that.....FROZEN......No Sugar Here......plus a lot more....
  5. Bruce and Nancy, Sounds and looks like you had a great day and a lot of fun in your 7 from the photos and post. Thanks for posting the photos.
  6. Hello David, When your out find yourself a large parking lot to explore the limits of your car. I often take people out for a ride in my 7 and on the way back stop in the back parking lot of the local mall to show them just how well our cars due handle. I have even had the local PD sitting their watching me and have had them come over and look at the car. I also really never get the car up to any great speed, usually about 20 to 25 mph is more than enough to show someone just how quick our cars can turn and move. One thing that I usually due is to start a turn and keep getting the circle smaller and smaller till I have the car turning a complete circle in about its own length and then switch directions of the circle. Usually in about three circles and then three to the opposite direction. Give it a try and you will be supprized I think with your car.
  7. Hi Mazda, Here is what I have used and it is very simple and works 100% with out any issues. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/7079,384_Hi-Tech-Turn-Signal-Module-Deluxe.html?itemNo=91064070 Speedway Motors Pant Number 910-64070 $99.99 each. HI-TECH TURN SIGNAL MODULE DELUXE Those of you running a T-bucket or roadster type steering column will love this one. Or if you are adding turn signals to an existing car, this is THE hot set-up. It is available in two configurations: one taillight bulb per side (910-64070), or two (910-64050). This module eliminates the need for turn signal flashers, hazard flashers and/or a traditional turn signal switch. It measures only 2-1/4" x 1-5/8" x 5/8" and will fit most anywhere. Simply mount two small momentary push button switches (available from Radio Shack) anywhere that is convenient, and connect the eight color coded wires into your harness. The flash is consistent whether using incandescent or LED bulbs. 12 volt bulbs up to 6 amps total. Measures 2-1/4" x 1-5/8" x 5/8". Here's how it works: Press the appropriate button for 1 second and the turn signal light will flash for 7 seconds, then self cancel. Press for 2 seconds and it will flash for 20 seconds, then self cancel. Press for 4 seconds and it will flash for 75 seconds, then self cancel. Press the same button a second time to manually cancel. To activate the hazard flashers, press both buttons at once. To disengage, press again. (They will flash until disengaged). THIS MODULE ALLOWS YOU TO USE ONE DUAL FILIMENT BULB PER SIDE TO OPERATE TURN, STOP AND TAILLIGHTS. It also incorporates brake lights; applying the brakes will cause the rear turn signals to light as long as the brakes are held. If a turn signal is sent to the rear lights at the same time it will have priority over the brake lights and cause the corresponding light to flash. When the turn signal is canceled the brake light will resume.
  8. All I can due is just laugh at that.....great right to the face.....fights over....fools out cold.
  9. Have a Facet pump in my car and it runs all the time and clicks all the time. That is normal for the pump. I know the road you were stranded on and yes it is a nice ride in a 7 especially this time of the year. Still have property in Newberg and a little place called Neskowin.
  10. Hi Bob, Here is what comes up when I do a search for Blatchat. Blatchat... Seems to be a problem at the ISP, neither of our servers is available ... Blatchat... It was showing signs of distress, now it's not responding. ... www.spyfu.com/Term.aspx?t=199236 - 77k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this They could be down for a number of reasons like weather if their service provider is in Florida.
  11. Sounds like you both enjoyed your day trip and 7. I think you will find that your 7 will be faster and more fun. The driveshaft hoop is a very good thing to upgrade to and can be accomplished with very little effort and time and can really save you if you have a universal joint failure even for street use. Just my belief.
  12. :jester:    So due you have the matching Clutch for those hoof covers...   :jester:
  13. Yep I can say that Jon was nice enough to let me run his car with him at an Auto-X in MD last summer the one that made him famous with the smiley that you see here :jonautox: . I had a great time and figured he was just nuts when he climbed in on the second run and after the first turn was yelling go faster, go faster and yes I did spin his car and Jon was very cool and just started to laugh. Thanks Jon  PS: I have let so many people drive my car I have lost trac with me in the car but only four people have driven it with out me being along for the ride. All have always ended with the driver having one big smile on their face. :7drive:
  14. More photos of the RV ..... PLEASE ..... VERY NICE HANGER you have...Glad I don't have to mow all that grass...
  15. :iagree: :hurray: :jester:    ...Or not long enough...
  16. Very nice Pickup that your daughter has to drive to school their as evedient by her smile in the first photo. The gear heads are going to be checking her out for sure you know...
  17. "Beverly Hills police and the city's prosecutor declined to file charges." We need more Judges and Prosecutors that stand up to the waco's (filmmaker Bart Sibrel) that are out there and I am not referring to Buzz Aldrin.
  18. Very Lucky People. As a side note: There was a guy in the late 1990's that did the same thing at Boeing Field in Washington State while attempting to land. Supposed cause was wake turbulences causing the C-150 to do some uncontrolled aerobatics but I would believe it was just pilot error. They were able to recover the airplane from the wires using a large crane and to my knowledge that C-150 is still flying as it had very little damage from the accident.
  19. I have to agree with Al.....and would just buy two r500's one for the street and one for track use and then take a nice vacation with the money saved.
  20. Very nice Hank. I do not think my garage has or will ever look that clean an organized.
  21. That is funny.......
  22. Hi Mazda, I will be landing in Philadelphia about the time your getting on the plane to head to LA on the 5th of Sept. but will be back in Ventura, Ca. when you return to the USA and LA. on the 22nd of the month. You have my phone number so give me a call or PM me and we will make the necessary arrangements.
  23. Hay Mazda, That is great. I know your still smiling from ear to ear. I at first though I was going to have to turn my monitor sideways to watch the vid and was relived that I did not have to due that. Are those the new mufflers as they sound good...just enough rumble to let people know something special is coming and going by.
  24. I am surprised that the motorcycle on the mud road did not throw something at him when he passed him and most likely through mud all over him once he was in front of him.
  25. Maybe I am getting old but that video shows poor head work on the drivers part driving that way on public roads. Wounder how long until their is a video of that car and driver off and in a ditch or worse....hopefully neither. Just my belief
