  1. THAT IS JUST FRIGIN NUTS. I am still laughing after the initial shock of what I just saw. OSHA would definatly shut that operation down for that stunt.
  2. Well for all of the folks that might be able to attend this public car show I think you will find it to be one of the largest with the most outrageous cars anywhere in the world. Here is a link for more info. http://www.motor4toys.com/ :yesnod:
  3. Way to go. :hurray: You mightwant to tell the group about your return trip to Sothern Calif if you have the time. Also maybe post some photos as we all love our little cars. :yesnod:
  4. Don't laugh but I thought I was the only person to get stuck in their car due to not being able to lift oneself up high enough to get his legs under his rear end and stand up. I had just had shoulder surgery (Dec. 14, 2007) and felt real good after about two weeks after and a week of physical therapy (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and the doctor saying that I could start to use my arm in a normal manner with limits. Yep...I figured good to go for a ride in the 7 as it had been about four weeks since the last outing. :hurray: So out to the garage I went expecting to go for a nice ride. :7fume: I climbed into my 7 and then decided to make sure that I could get out. That is when I found out that I did not have the strength to pushup out of the race seat with just one good arm. Spent the better part of an hour in the garage stuck in the car trying to figure out how to get myself out of the car without help and without hurting my shoulder. Boy did I ever try to get out myself as I figured I would not hear the end of it as my wife keeps telling me that I am getting a little plumper with age. I finely had to call my wife (glad I had my cell phone) and asked her to come out to the garage. When my wife arrived in the garage (garage is attached to the house) and I explained the situation and she stopped laughing we were able to lift my butt high enough for me to get my leg under myself and then out of the race seat and then stand up. Sure did not want to call the fire department to come get me out of the car although that was one of the next steps and what my wife kept saying she was going to do. My suggestion is to make sure you have the engine hoist or some lifting device close by (or a good friend who is a gear head) to help extract yourself from the car so you don't suffer the laughing wife syndrome as I have.
  5. Way to go Rod. Sounds very good and looks like you are going to have a lot of fun with your new car. Now Mazda is not the only member to have a V8 powered 7.
  6. Hi Kelly, Why not have someone complete the restoration of the car for you? If you are considering buying another 7 you might be better to have the car finished so that you can have it your way. PM me if you might be interested in doing that.
  7. Jack McCornack originally had built a Locost 7 (2005 time frame I think) using a V-twin so I guess you can say it is a LSIS car. I actually like the way they made the rear suspension. I also feel that it is sort of a combination of the Locost and an Atom from the looks of the frame. Still like the original design better for a 7.
  8. Well said Doug and by the way glad to hear that your building a 7 and have joined this forum. When you get the time post up some photos of your build as a lot of the members will appreciate seeing the photos of your car.
  9. Mazda, I feel for you as I have had a very similar problem with my car as you know and saw. Still working the problem out and looking to pull the engine again and rebuild it one more time or just replace it with something else.
  10. That a great shot Morgan.
  11. :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag:    A defination of a Veteran. "A veteran is someone who, at one point in his or her life wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including their life." That is Honor, and there are way too many people in This country who no longer understand it. "Thank you all for serving our country."
  12. Nice ride....watch out for manhole covers as that is one loooow 7. The smiles on your face's says it all.
  13. At Narf Norva as the A6/F14 project O in the late 70's. Neither AC is in the fleet now....boy I am getting old. 20yrs Navy....Retired (Aug1990)....an a happy CIVILIAN:)
  14. Not quite but I do have about 20 hrs or so in a Stearman that a friend owns. Great airplane for its time and a lot of fun, just stay off the brakes until very slow or you will be on the nose while taxiing a Stearman. Here is a photo that shows what I was talking about. http://www.usa7s.net/ASPNETFORUM/upload/234363281_Skid String.JPG
  15. Very well put and I have to agree with your statement. That is what makes this country great....individual beliefs and views.
  16. NOW THAT IS FUNNY.....Would I be ticketed for mowing them down...just woundering. :d   opps the 7 would not make it very far due to ground clearance but my F-350 sure would.
  17. Now that is funny. Tom, You do know that the TR7 was designed that way (body style) to be more aero when being towed. Just pulling your chain a little.....
  18. Can one say Wiperwill (the bird) with a British accent wearing a Union Jack? Your son has a good taste and you have a sense of humor. I use to fly an airplane that had a tuft of yarn on the nose cone so you could see if you were in a high-speed skid while doing combat maneuvers, guess your tassel would work the same when cornering hard. You might be starting a trend you know.
  19. The smile on your face says it all........funny hat though.......
  20. Ditto and its more like our 7 are "FASTER than most".......Good Work:hurray:
  21. Mazda, Your still doing a great job and the forum is still one of the best no mater what any of us say about it. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR TIME AND EFFORT.
  22. Thats funny......My wife even laughed then gave me the stare that we all get from time to time.
  23. I just though it was my service provider and my old computer but it dose seem slow at times.
  24. Mazda, Is it a company you started or a clients, just interested. What is the product line or service?
  25. Your 7 looks to be saying the garage door is open so do I get to go out and play......:yesnod: Nice shot I like the way the eyes make it look ALIVE with buck teeth.:jester: Just noticed the outline of what looks like a body on the garage floor.....poor 7 is scared maybe.....
