  3. :crazy:WOW that is very cool. Do you have any more information on who built it.
  4. That sure looks better than an Atom and would be my choice if I were going to go that route.
  5. Harbor Freight has a small portable generator that will fit in the passenger foot well and will power an electric blanket for about 6 hours to keep you warm with your snowmobile suit and gear on under the blanket. Out here in SoCal we have to worry about heat stroke and dehydration when out in our car and not freezing. Low last night was 53 degrees and the high was 72 with dry wind from the North East (Santa Anna's) but tomorrow we are suppose to have some rain which we definitely need but will have traffic all messed up due to not having a lot of the stuff.
  6. :hurray: Just received my 7 watch via FedEx.:hurray: Great way to start the 2008 and to my surprise when I opened the nice metal box that the watch came in the time was correct as I did not have to set it. Thanks Mazda.

  10. :iagree: Vegas would be a great place to get everyone together.
  11. Hi, I am located in Ventura, Ca. about 45miles north of downtown LA and might be able to help. I also have a friend who lives in LA and I think is a member of the group and is building a BEC 7 and he might be a better source for help in the LA area. His name is Moti Almagor and here is his e-mail address SR71Miata@gmail.com so let me know and maybe e-mail Monti and tell him I gave you his e-mail address. Martin Keller Ventura, Ca. PS: PM me if you want with your phone number and I will call you.
  12. Hi EburgE, I think that I would find some other way of attaching the cycle fenders to the "metal wingstays" as you called them. I have seen plastic cable ties fail for no apperant reason after sitting for a couple days. You might want to use a hose clamp in place of the cable ties (ziplocks) as they are a lot stronger and are still easy to remove or adjust. Another reason that I would change the cable ties is the local club that I auto-X with looks for cable ties (zipties) that are being used to hold other things other than wires and will not let you run until the object is secured or mounted with a more structural methiod of mounting to prevent things from falling off at speed. Hope this helps.
  13. Welcome and when you get your Stalker post some photos so we all can look it over as I do not know of anyone in this group that dose not like looking at cars.
  14. That is a good idea....:jester:Now I just have to find someone with a 7 besides me in town and become their driver for the evening.:jester:
  15. I was also under that asumption as you need to have it fixed to the frame to take the tourque.
  16. Hi and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Just my belief but the red striped stuf is most likely an form of lock-tite that sets after tourque has been applied and the bolt sets for a while and is also a way of identifying the crank bolts are new and have not been used before as most bolts that are for holding the fly wheel to the crank are one time use only hardware due to the loading they are subjected too.
  17. :iagree: They are and have been doing a great job for us all.
  18. Hi Ary, Keep posting the photos as I think everyone likes seeing the progress as long as it dose not take away from the re-building of the car. Whattype of bender due you have as the bends you have made look good in the photos....just woundering.
