you can get the angle drive and speedo cable (they have different lengths) from Burton power. The angle drive was out of stock for sometime but it is back in stock now. -Des.

i just installed a new petronix system on my car, set timing, with new gapped plugs, retuned carbs and my car has never ran stronger. Even better than when i purchased it. The petronix is pretty straight forward to install from Pegasus racing.

Hats off to you for making that drive. I think by this time next year, there'll be a few more Cats in the states...maybe we can make a rally down to the track. That'll be epic.

While I wasn’t able to get some hot laps in my own car… just meeting other 7 owners, chatting, analyzing different car setups and overall good old fashioned car guy hanging out, made the trip down more than worth it. Also, shout out to @John Bfor taking me out for one of my most memorable rides as a passenger to date 😬🤝. Your understanding and control of your 7️⃣ has given me something to aim for😎. I’ve already ordered a completely new petronix ignition system and looking forward to coming back to NJMP very soon and every year thereafter. Looks like i'll be there. My 5pts just came in and are installed, helmet arrives tomorrow and i'm dropping off the car at race shop for a once over and geo! i will be registering and pumped for the experience.

I'll be using Toyo r888rs on my new (to me) 13s as well. Will see how they perform.

Curious what you end up going with here as I need to order new tires for my 14" panasports. I've been evaluation options and come up with similar results as you pointed above. I'm also contemplating getting some 13" wheels for more tire options. Will look to decide in the coming week and order.

I just went through the entire harness on my 84 Cat- undoing 40yrs of wiring hacks and mods in the process. Got a pretty good understanding of it now. Feel free to PM me and we can connect offline via phone to troubleshoot live.

How late can one register for this? just completed reassembly of my Cat and should finish dialing carbs this week. Some shakedown thereafter on the whole setup and i "MAY" be able to make it... if it's too tight of a schedule, i'll just shoot for next year but i'm feeling optimistic!

I have an AEM wideband i'll be using and likely permanently installing in my dash. Helps with dialing/verifying carbs tuning and also keeping an eye on things.

i hoard my old stuff in boxes, then ever few years i'll purge. Partly because often, i will change for preventative maintenance (while you're in there) not really because they failed, so they could be of use to me or someone else in the future who might be in a bind. If a part is failed, i'll typically bin it.
