  1. SOLD to Jim from Houston. Now that Kevin has Mojito on the road. Mojo is up for sale. The engine in car has 34k miles on it. The car has a little over 14k miles on it. It just kicked alot of Porsche cars butts at a local Auto X. It has a fresh alignment with new rod ends and bars on the front. It also has a new radiator. The passenger side has a little damage that is shown in the pictures. I would prefer to sell as is or I will fix it and repaint it if you like. The car has some typical chips on the bottom edges and but overall the appearance is 6 out of 10. This car is well sorted. It is very reliable and fast. I have a spare set of wheels that go with the car as well as a set of Hoosier R6 tires. The spare wheels a few have some scrapes on them from being hauled in the one lap trailer the others look like new. Now the important part. Price I am asking 23500.00 as is, I will fix the side and repaint the whole car the same color for 25500.00. The attached photos were taken in the last few weeks and show the car in its current state. I really need to sell this car so that I can have my new car finished in time for Run N Gun. Any questions call me at 325 650 7049 or drop me an email. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/208683834_current 1.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/570004579_current 3.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/563368410_current 5.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/86208968_current 6.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1133520359_current 7.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/527547332_current 8.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/446036084_current 9.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1860968163_current 10.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/547899804_current 11.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/518092018_current 12.jpg
  2. Glad you joined us. To bad you missed out on the Hill Country Tour near Kerville back in April. We will do it again next year. Your car is very nice and excellent power train choice I must say( I am a little biased). I should be down to San Antonio some time next month taking a load of goodies to the Automovation program. Drop me an email with some contact info and we can meet if you like.
  3. depending on the car weight you might be able to go as low as 15 lbs. The only true way to know is to check the tire temp with a temp probe as soon as you exit the course. Three readings from the center and each edge will let you know the pressure to run. It will be a little harder on an Auto X than road coarse because the temp will not come up as much. You can also look at the scrub line on the tire. Most radial tires have a ridge or line around the tire sidewall near the tire contact patch. The goal is to get the tire to scrub close to that line. You can keep dropping pressure until you get close to the line about 1/4 inch from it you are in the ball park. There will be factors like the amount of camber which will have an affect on this as well. It is more like a rule of tumb than science.
  4. I run my Hoosier R6 tires at 18-19 front 20-21 rear really stiff sidewall you might be able to go down some from that.
  5. Hopefully Kevin or Michelle will post a little later. From what I have heard they snagged the number 1 spot in the Green Car Challenge. In the Ultimate Track Car Challenge they got 3rd in the Varsity class which is all forced induction and v8 cars. Overall they came in 6 or 7 as far as they could tell. I cant find any offical results on the web just yet. Maybe Grassroots is going to keep it to quite until the article comes out.
  6. PS2 are really good tires. We used them during 1 Lap. Kevin said they were excellent in the wet. Not that you would want to drive that car in the rain. They performed well in the dry as well. Attach some pics of the pedal assy when you can. I have a few plans for my new car but would like to see what you came up with.
  7. Car is looking absolutely wonderful. I am curious to see what you come up with for the pedal assy. I see the steering wheel is mounted above the lower dash bar instead of below it. I am anxiously awaiting to see how you manage get that larger collapseable steering column around the pedals at the angle. I see you move the front mount down a few inches which will help but still going to be a real tight fit unless you are really tall and will have the pedals mounted way down in the well. I really like the shifter boot and center console, those are tough to make look good. What brand of wheels do you have? I have not noticed that one in my wheel search. What size and offset do you have?
  8. The plan last night was to build supports that spread the load further out. They were going to do both sides while they were at it. If one side tore dont want to take a chance on it happening again on the other side. I will talk to Kevin this morning to see if it is all ready to go.
  9. I went and ran with the West Texas Porsche club event. It is a fairly new group and we had about 13 cars there. They have nice facility, old air base with concrete ramp so traction was good. There were a few 911 turbos, Carrrea S, Boxer S, Rx7 turbo, miata, camero and myself. I was 3.8 seconds faster than the rest of the field on a tight 1.1 miles course. I really never got a good clean run. I probably left a 1-2 seconds if not more out there. It was alot of fun and my 3 rd autox if you count Run N Gun. The wind was blowing at a steady 25 mph with gust to 40 which got old after a few hours. It kept the bugs off though which is good.
  10. Hoosier R6 are destined for Mojito. 275 in the back and 255 in front.
  11. Pauls car is very nice. He has done a great job on it. I was wondering if you were going to put some pictures of it up for us to enjoy.
  12. Who is that mad man? I think he has a few screws loose if not completely missing. The streets will never be safe again.
  13. My wifes first extended trip was the Hill Country tour. The first day she screamed slow down for every corner even though we were going extremely slow. The second day she did much better and didnt complain much about spirited acceleration until Vtec hit then the tumbs down signal came flying out like a weapon. She did good on the corners, I only received 6 or punches to the chest in protest. A vast improvement over the previous day.
  14. Looks like it is brand new. Nice job on the resto.
  15. looking at the picture of the pedal it would appear that the pedals could go to the left about 12 inch. I had to notch my brake pedal about 1/4 of an inch to clear the steering shaft. Looking at the picture the pedal looks to have some room. Just a thought if it you are intrested in trying to run the car.
  16. This on is my favorite.
  17. AZNATAMA: Hie thee to Britalia Motorsports @ 3001 Red Hill Ave. Building 1 Suite 217 in Costa Mesa 714-432-8482 or 949-842-9198. There you will find a Caterham SV with less than 2000 miles. It has a lot of good stuff on it and the best motor currently available in a 7: the aluminum block 16 valve oversquare 2.3L Duratec. It's light, develops fantastic torque (not a word typically associated with 7s) and a bit of Cosworth magic puts it over the top. I think that is a matter of opionon. I will take the F20c over Duratec just about any day. You have to do alot of work to a Duratec to match the power of a stock F20c. The Honda in stock form is very reliabe and most of the time puts out more power than tweaked Duratec. Of course there are a few rare exceptions.
  18. Tuuuuuuuuuurboo that beast.
  19. Awesome drive. The car looks to be handeling and running well good job.
  20. There just isnt anymore room to widen the footwell. The 6 speed tranny is big. The panel on the right side of the footwell rubs on the wall in my car. Not even a MM left to move it over.
  21. Kevin will be glad to show the car to anyone that would like to see it. He would probably appreciate the support of anyone willing to go and cheer him on. I am not sure he will have time to give 50 rides but I am sure he would be up for 3 or 4.
  22. Shouldnt be and issue. I dont think you will even have to raise tire pressure. Mojito is running 255s on the front and 275 on the rear. It could easily be 255s on all four.
  23. Kevin is going to be at the Ultimate Track Car challenge on June 6 7 8 at Buttonwillows. He can give you a ride in our supercharged S2k and you can look it over sit in and ask questions. I believe Buttonwillows is near Bakersfield CA but not sure on that. The Cali guys will set me straight if I am wrong. I can give you a phone # to catch Kevin at if you are interested. That car is a 381 rwhp car so it is a bit of fun.
