The Regular Summary of Classified Ads of Se7ens Found For Sale

Love it. Well bought! There are a few "wrinkles" but if they can be addressed or overlooked it's a great buy! Please get new tires asap. -
Caterham parts are so bad with their service that Chris at Redline has become one of the biggest suppliers of their own parts instead of them and he's very prompt. Doesn't help you now but for the future ...

Pictures help tell a story. What's a "pr"?

I see @Croc has considered it a long time ago @Kitcat liked his diesel Touareg too. Time to do more digging.
-
What made you want to pick a diesel? I'm reading these didn't have the transfer case issues others have had. At premium cost of gas that the gas ones would need, Diesel doesn't seem to be much of a problem especially considering it will get better MPG. Touraeg won't be on my radar for a few reasons, one of which being future resale, especially if most of the parts are the same, I'd rather have something that keeps value better. Seems like diesel might be the front runner. About 15,000 total imported for 958 and I wouldn't want a tan interior. Expected budget likely around $20k for one.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye in BaT auctions as well as C&B which seems to be better deals due to being smaller auction house. I haven't quite figured out which motor combination I'd prefer. It wouldn't be for performance but rather reliability. There is the V8, the V6 which I think is the VR6 and obviously the diesel.

Putting on my auctioneer hat I'm calling this one topping out around $25k, which would be a relative bargain for anybody looking for one in Ca especially. -

Gold is far superior to yellow! Green and yellow is only combo that so what works. Maybe red and yellow but that becomes a little Ronald like. -

Don't have to tell me twice. I've voiced my opinions on yellow colors here before. -

If not for the color, it's a nice build. Should be a pretty good bargain too. -
@JohnCh yes your latter interpretation is what I was eluding to. I actually struggle to follow the earlier point and that possible interpretation. I support what's being done here and tried to shine the light as to why even good ideas don't always get implemented when suggested. I recently had a great idea of having an internal cars and coffee for our work campus and partners (we have 3000 people). I knew nobody would sign off on it as just an idea. I had to do all the leg work and then let people in charge fine tune it. I came up with name, secured location, picked a date, described the rules and the mission purpose and benefits to the company as well as volunteered to be in drive or marketing event and helping set it up. Even after all of this it was a battle to get it signed off.. If I just threw the idea into the ether, it certainly wouldn't be happening.

Recent garage thread got me thinking again about my next daily. I'm considering getting a new one and I have found myself always attracted to ~10 year old depreciated European cars as my comfort spot. Ideal model would be a pain in the butt just enough where I can work on it myself or pay to fix a few things but not looking for a complete headache (Range Rover would be in the running otherwise) I'm currently likely to get a W212 Mercedes E350 Wagon (~2011) for mid teens but the value proposition on a Cayenne is intriguing especially considering it can tow well which is a plus for my occasional needs with all the trailers. I've seen a number of them in the teens with high miles, which isn't a problem for me as long as the seller was proper with maintenance. If anything high miles is reassuring as I'm used to my generation Volvo hitting 300k often without problems other than maintenance. So far my research suggests timing cover leaks, valve cover gaskets and air suspension issues as big items along with a few other smaller typical replacement items such as water pumps etc once you get into miles. I know its a VW platform but I believe the engine work is all Porsche especially with a V8 Pictures for references 2012-Mercedes-Benz-E-Class-FrontSide_MBECLASSW111_505x375.avif

He's waiting for the images of his 17 cars to upload and running into max photo limits per page...

Disagree. Still too much cross talk in experiences. If it was parked next to a Benz S class? That's the perfect pairing. You would never have to decide which car you're driving. An hour in one would make you want to be in the other, going both ways.

It's hard to tell if it was lose or just gotten lose. None of those are lock tite'ed. I believe this is how it came once it came back after being rebuilt from the manufacturer (BORLA) after I send it out to them. I haven't messed with that linkage in particular. I've probably put on about 1200 miles since the the ITB's came back. I also can't tell if the nut has migrated down from vibration or the linkage was really on there with just a few threads. Either was was pleased it was nothing serious or didn't happen on the highway (I was just about to get on) I have noticed that throttle was feeling a little strange over the last few ourtings (harder to press) likely was/is related.

100% spot on. Nail on the head. Anybody in charge has a million things to do in their queue. Nobody likes a person adding another thing even if it's a good idea. Pointing things out that are wrong or bad just makes you another liability bullet point on the to do list instead of being an asset. However if somebody comes up with a good idea and is willing to put it through and it just needs a stamp of approval from people in charge, it makes it a lot easier to say yes to and sign off on. Learned this a long time ago.

I have found myself in familiar shoes today. Doing a workout of pushing 1300 rolling lbs. Lucky for me it was a quick fix. I thought I lost throttle cable but it was even drastic than that. Having tools on hand proved itself once again

Context? Looked for those key words but nothing came up

Thank you. I see many TRS on there too. None with right base plates. I learned yesterday that almost every manufacturer can modify a model to your fit if you don't see it offered in a model with right baseplates or lengths etc. Currently waiting on a quote for a TRS with right base plates, colors and lengths.

Very strange. This looked real to me https://youtu.be/uQWncnPa_UM?si=FPwpWooV8w5vb0kR
