Thank you for the updates for those of us who couldn't make it. This almost feels the void. Almost.

Not really any different than the people who tried to skate the 25 year old federal import rule. Once you get caught you either get it out of the country or it gets impounded and crushed. Its interesting they won't let him keep it as offroad vehicle however. If he really wanted to be the "clever" guy as he seems like the type, he would revert it back to stock, just to revert it back to non stock after again.

This. I'd be curious too but seems like this is the best option. Due to the nature of our cars having a spare has it's advantages. For example on the spare you could run the stripe to the end without lipstick nose surround for a different look and a very quick swap over between the two. You could also add canards to one if you wanted to but again could swap back and forth as desired.

Fyi the stamped offset will be the same for CSR and non CSR as they machine the same existing wheel down to new offset. I'm not sure how you tell the two apart otherwise

Honestly the experience is worth it even if you have trouble on the track. 7's NJMP days is more the sum of it's parts with track time and lunches in between. The comradery and the experience is worth it even with a broken car (as I prove year after year..). You learn a lot, meet great people and get all the hands on help on our obscure rare vehicles you can get. I suggest that if you can make it you do so and that helps ensure that there will be a next year after all. Without knowing the exact details I assume it's a monumental struggle to justify and help make this event year between Mike, Tom and NJMP itself, so having numbers to back it up helps these events keep going year after year. To the best of my knowledge this is the biggest North American gathering of 7's every year and a rare experience to run in 7's only group on this side of the pond. Also photos don't care if your car runs poorly and you get to have awesome backgrounds to look at for the entire year (Again big thanks to Mike for helping with photography too!) First off I recommend using these guys for your PPF kit https://premierpaintguard.com/caterham_paint_protection_film.html secondly I didn't rhino liner underside of my fenders but I used sticky foam from Amazon to line the inside as needed As far as stripes, mine are painted so I don't have a choice and it goes right over them. As far as coverage, the more the merrier. Since you're committed to it, it will only hurt so much more to discover uncovered areas that get damaged. Last track day there was a piece of debris that took a small chunk out of paint from my hood louvers. So you can't ever plan for everything.
