  1. Driving a seven with out a turbo is like sex without a tongue! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/616062213_smile5.gif
  2. Michelle: In case you’re not aware of it, you and 7evin have a very positive effect on the people around you. It's a "great feeling" to be able to call you friends. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/28042132_1233_hand_clapping.gif
  3. I have no desire to get into a P*****g contest. Last year @ the GRM Challenge @ VRI the Noble team showed up with 3 transporters, 1 was equipped with a chassis dyno. Is that apples to apples? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/478459425_smile2.gif
  4. Loren: I think that the fuel pump repair kit is a maa-3165. Summit Racing has 1 in their warehouse in Akron. I placed it on hold order #4482413 in Kevin's name. It's 269 miles from Beaver Run. They are open till 9:00 pm. Possibly someone could pick it up and get it to Kevin? Do not assume that I used the proper part #!

  6. Loren: When we had the pump apart yesterday I inspected the parts and found brown deposits in the armature shaft where the pump seal is located. Years ago when did the weekly maintance on a sprint car I found the same deposits in the Hilborn system. Could those deposits be affecting the seal? We did not have a press to install the new seal, but we were very careful and used a socket and a c-clamp to install it. The placement of the seal looked correct. I could tell that the event had taken quite a toll on Kevin/Mich as he was not thinking as fast as he usually does. If I can help in any way let me know!
  7. Yesterday I drove my bucket of bolts 50 miles in the rain with no roof or hood! :banghead:
  8. The disambiguation of one lap by Kevin and Michelle I’m calling Mojito The Trojan Horse. A person or thing that appears to be innocent or benign, but actually presents danger or harmful intent. This is not supposed to happen, a homemade car, no professional drivers, just a lowly seven. They’re in 4th place 10 points behind 3rd. In the morning run they were the fastest car on the track. On the afternoon run of the full track they were just a few seconds behind the fastest time. Kevin was going to walk around Beve Run with an instructor @ 7:00 this morning as he has never raced there. Mojito should do well in the final 2 days. Last year they were first on the skid pad. Could you believe that Kevin and Michelle could finish in 2nd place overall? Facts: A small bore car has never finished in the top 10 of One Lap. A woman has never finished in the top 10 of One Lap. At the end of the day with the trailer connected and everything packed and ready to drive to Beve Run, Kevin was transferring fuel from the trailer to Mojito and I noticed fuel leaking from it. Kevin crawled under the car and discovered that the fuel pump was leaking. We removed the fuel pump and after trying a number things we determined that the seal between pump and the motor had failed. They had a replacement seal, but no way to remove it. Kevin and I headed to Danville to try to find a shop that could remove the damaged seal. The local John Deer dealer removed it for free. We drove back to the track, installed the seal and headed towards Beve Run. I would like to let everybody know who the real unsung hero of this effort is! Michelle Kevin is a very fortunate man to have a wife/partner that is willing to make the sacrifices that are required. Kevin would be the first person to tell you if you think that he is an “Ironman”, that Michelle is even tougher. Thank You Michelle! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/8603517_257101034_PICT0268.jpg

  11. At the front bulkhead where the bracing for the rack is.
  12. I'm going to drive 4000 miles taking my 7 to different events in May. I don't want to use my Expedation towing @ 11 mpg. Does anyone else use this method? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1024613801_Flat-Tow.jpg :7head:
  13. 7evin: When are you leaving for South Bend? How is the 7 doing?

  18. I enjoy working on my SEVEN. This is the progress for the past 2/3 days. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1773485579_P10106871.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1340770553_P10106891.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1669089365_P10106941.JPG Without a can of Whop A** I'll spend more time on body work tomorrow. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1052908810_Picture 003.jpg
  19. Another Friday night with my project. My leds require 20 mili watts per. I picked the resistor by intensity. So 6 leds should require 120 mili amps. With a 100 ohm resistor the reading was 118.3. I also found out that I have a direct source to Weber parts. The phone number is on the wood *#>>??? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1784383882_Copy of P1010684.JPG
  20. Did you listen to your mother a make sure that your underwear was clean? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/8495512_untitled.bmp
  21. Just read the reviews about airflow.
  22. That used to be true, but not anymore. Sometimes that dot indicates a storage date. Stop by my shop and I'll put them on my Hunter GSP 9700.

  24. 7evin: The head gasket and the sealing surfaces are as important as the ARP bolts. Make sure that you look at the old gasket closely, and read it to find where it blew. Do you use data logging to see what the maximum pressure and temperatures were? If you need any parts at VIR I can bring them. I'm just down the street from Inline Pro. I get back from teaching in Reno on Monday. My cell number is 703-399-6806. Just remember what Roger Penske said “luck is when preparation meets opportunity". I'm going to try to drive my bucket of bolts even if it's in primer. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/522156301_Copy of P1010680.JPG :ack:
  25. If you go naked they can see the engine. :banghead:
