If I chose an Atom, I'd have one just like that. Sweet! Be curious to know how that windshield works out for street driving (no helmet, goggles)... as far as buffeting goes? 7s are notorious for the whip around of air at highway speeds. .
  3. I just saw this: 420lbs torque! "... They call it EcoBoost, and with the 2011 F-150's new 3.5-liter V6 engine, it delivers 420 lb-ft of diesel-like torque, 365 horsepower and highway mileage into the mid-20s..." Probably too big for our cars but that's impressive.
  4. And I thought he only did Bush
  5. Well stock is about 1hp to 7 pounds; it looks like your at about 1 to 3... it might go fast;) Look forward to the results
  6. There's a used one for $43000 on ebay... For new: Goins Motorsports 104 So. Main St Jay Okla 74346 406-925-3691
  7. Man, that chassis, suspension is stout.... pretty much the opposite of ours;) This is the cobra (sorta) that I'd like to have http://www.jblmotor.com/car1.htm .
  8. Sounds like an awesome Cobra.... but 5 miles of dirt roads rather than interstate?
  9. You'd have no problem in the driver's seat... 34-36 inch waist for the narrower passenger seat (motor and trans are a bit to the right in the chassis which helps with balance). Plenty of leg/seat room (adjustable peddle assembly)... I don't have a problem with my size 10 1/2 - 11 size feet. Keep in mind, these are kind of small hard core cars; wind, mechanical noises (rattles).... but they do get your heartrate going like nothing else.

Those wings look to have some serious downforce angles... maybe it's just the vertical pieces that give it that look.
  11. I have my WCM Ultralite badge prominently displayed on the hood. But I made this and am planning to put in the center of my steering wheel. Thought it would be funny to possibly ruffle some feathers... until they take a closer look and see it says "not us" (couldn't get the right N font). Maybe we could put something like this on all our cars at the next LOG;)
  12. Don't know how far south you are but I'm in Bakersfield if you'd like to check one out (click on my name and check out the photo album).
  13. Funny, that picture makes it look like your grabbing the little wind deflector to hold yourself in place;)

Man, that looks good! I like the windshield and wings (the supercharger goes without saying).
  15. In my fire service career, and experience on responding to countless accidents, is that speeding is not one of the major factors. It's running red lights, being under the influence and distraction (radio, cell phone, etc)... The exception would be sportbikes. So I can understand cameras at intersections but speed traps are just revenue generators in my humble opinion.
  16. What surprises me is the number of hit & runs that happen... the fine should be the same as drunk driving. Because that's probably why the majority do it. As far as cameras, they should be for intersections or areas that have a lot of accidents. It's turned into a way to raise cash instead of increasing safety.
  17. Hmmm... either that's going to be their largest car ever or the guy is really small.
  18. I meant the original Caterham 21... it says it was basically their 7 with this body. Yeah, that thing is pretty wild.
  19. I think they look great, especially considering the years they were built. I like the idea of a more civilized 7. Wonder how they performed compared to a 7? http://www.caterham21.com/index.php?mact=Album,mff022,default,1&mff022albumid=2&mff022returnid=54&page=54
  20. Every guy would love one of these.... but with my skills, it would mainly be used to wax the sides of the car and clean the inside of the wheels;)
  21. Nice... I like our cars to be in the company of exotics
  22. I couldn't pass up an event in Las Vegas... it's so close.
  23. I considered it a mini Pantera... there weren't many mid-engine cars back in the 70s. It was actually quite comfortable and nice to drive. Reliability, that's another story. If I ever considered another one, it would be from these guys (or their parts) http://www.banks-europa.co.uk/cars_home.htm
  24. Fixed one up back in the 80s. Could never get over having only a quarter inch of fiberglass all around me (center tunnel was the frame).
