And a very deserving one at that!

Another covering the "other" 7s. Softcover Love that there is a Cat "GT" on the cover. Most get converted to DCOEs. Hard to find even a picture of the GT.

In the midst of all these great books on 7s, a year before Rees, Tipler gives us a hidden gem in 1995. This one has photos at Caterham of the guys putting these together, etc. Good factoid book. Great pictures. Hardcover

Where Ortenburger left off in the 70's, Chris Rees picks up for Caterham development thereafter. Hardcover

As if the Legend book wasn't enough, and apparently wasn't, Ortenburger knocks out an exhaustive guide on all the other seven-esque roadsters. Hardcover I see it's blurry. I'll re-shoot it.

Next is Ortenburger. Up until Weale's book, this was the 7 Bible. It has hard to find information. Essential for a proper Lotus restoration. Hardcover Dennis banged out this exhaustive resource back in 1980. He didn't have internet or MS Word to help put it all together. Everything was leg work and typewriters. Dennis was there. He could teach the college course on 7 and write the text book, which he did. Every 7 book since stands on the shoulders of this giant. Thanks, Mr. Ortenburger.

Perhaps more valuable for the Lotus S2,3 & 4, this is Caterham's reprint of original Lotus build guides. Good coverage of the twin cam. Softcover

This is a special book to me. Part novel and journal with enough advice to be a good build companion. Hardcover

Here is a thread for the books dedicated to the 7, and any books you have found helpful on your 7 journey. The format here is one reply per book, not several books on one reply. This is so others can comment, ask, respond and contribute about that specific book. Only information to help others decide if the book is something they want, locate and buy the book. But in no way share copyrighted information so we stay out of trouble. Only front cover, back cover, publishing info, table of contents and maybe some blurbs. Enjoy.

Thanks. I hope the ignition coils didn't suffer too much.

I should have taken that too. But I'm not a fan of the hood anyway. The doors I had were second hand and not correct for my year. Old 80s or 70s pieces.

William Tisnes (say that ten times fast) purchasing manager at Rentech is handling the sales of these parts. I have already got some myself and can say this is 100% legitimate. The parts came off a Cat that were replaced with customer specified custom carbon fiber parts. This was a side project for a customer who had his Mercedes upgraded there. So, yea, this is money and I doubt anyone will miss these spares. I'm sure they have permission. If not permission, perhaps a lien. Doesn't matter. Buy these parts. The packing and shipping was excellent. PM me with any questions. Parts I got: Black windscreen & stanchions Battery tray Washer bottle Doors

Expansion Tank Cap - Help Figuring Out The Correct Part
IamScotticus replied to Ctcat's topic in General Tech
I have the part numbers, I just need a picture. Unfortunately, the term "expansion" is used for both open and closed systems. The "cover" Cat has used for the oil catch/coolant expansion bottle is this: The pressure cap for the round expansion tank Land Rover LR3, is this: The square Rover 200&400 EAP 8713 and Oval Rover 600 A111K6004F Cap Is this: -
Update: Yes this place does have wheels available Need to call them back. Thanks again

A poster requested a 7 book list so I'm doing a 7 book thread soon. If you have a book that has enough 7 content in it worth mentioning, could you include it?
-
Anything ever happen here?
-
I can do that in another thread. There may already be one.
