  1. I believe the front wing mounted markers/flashers were a European mandatory item but optional in most USA jurisdictions. The headlamp flashers would serve for both functions. It depends on the DMV rules in your jurisdiction, not what Lotus or Caterham had done. BUT, if you want them on your car, there's nothing wrong with that. Im partial to the Lucas L516 torpedo types. Dave Bean had a set available last year.
  2. I think a skid plate is more essential with a DS. There must be something to keep from hooking the bellhousing. The DS just gives you the room for it. YMMV
  3. I hope the car those csme off of is still in one piece
  4. In the market for a distributor with vacuum advance for Kent 1600 uprated AX. Points or hall efect, plug and play, but no laptop or Bluetooth tuning. I will enjoy this car for a little while then it will sit for another 25 years until its found by someone. I don't want stuff that needs additional obsolete technology to make it run. Vacuum hose will still be around. Im starting to like points more.
  5. are the collectors included?
  6. Still the black finned Birkin cover? If yes, no telling. Maybe a call to Birkn Direct.

  10. Cat has been using this bottle for decades https://caterhamparts.co.uk/oil-system/268-oil-catch-tank-kit-1-litre.html?search_query=catch+tank&results=118 My recovery plan going forward will be to use an expansion tank and a recovery tank. https://howeracing.com/products/surge-tank-horzontal-mount?_pos=1&_sid=7280fa34a&_ss=r
  11. Did you see the Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellen Prisoner?

  14. That would be telling...
  15. I will be putting a Weber 32/36 DGM on a Caterham built 1600 Sprint spec with A2 cam. There are plenty of jetting tables available for the carb with the GT cam, but I believe the A2 has more lift. Has anyone done the work to find the right settings for this combination? I will be looking as well.
  16. OK, I'll play. This car will take $20K to get back to spec. Buy it for parts, but buy a complete and correct 7 to own and drive. Your $20K will be spent either way. The restoration will cost you money and TIME. This 7 is potentially a good deal IF you have the skills, tools and facilities to restore a car like this economically or have a friend who does.
  17. Its the season for giving
