  1. Thanks, Im getting a distributor dialed in by a dizzy tuner and I really need #s for my same build and displacement. I might just need to wait until after my rebuild with new ring pack, etc.
  2. how about the sensor sizes and threads? Is there a standard? Is there any thread difference between an AFR O2 sensor and a Lambda? Can a Lambda be a stand-alone system? This may help https://lambdageeks.com/o2-sensor-thread-size/
  3. Wishing everyone a peaceful and caring Christmas, Haunkkah and new years Hollidays Yes, AI imagine
  4. This depends on the engine. There were a few engine differences and slight width differences in the Kent engines used between the Lotus and Caterhams. This is very much a hand fitted car with many variables to specify.
  5. Heres some good reading on pressure caps https://icemancooling.com/2011/01/14/radiator-caps/ https://icemancooling.com/2011/01/17/radiator-caps-continued/
  6. I see it. Im getting two wips.
  7. how about links for that stuff. Just think of all the 7s you could save!
  8. And that is? Drum roll please....
  9. @lotsatsOn 5244-SJ, what is the source for the small front wing markers?
  10. Its, the guy who's wife lets him keep one single toy wins!
  11. The hands... Im not far behind ya

  13. I believe there is an active Prisoner fan club doing events there.
  14. Is a half full >1ltr expansion tank large enough to not need a recovery tank?
  15. I have been seriously considering converting to a closed loop coolant system for the Crossflow. Someone, [edit]Roger King , said the closed system essentially eliminated head gasket leak issues on his cars. This thread proves a point, the traditional "recovery tank" pressure cap is prone to fail and leaving the system sucking air upon cooldown. In theory, a closed system will not allow this to happen because it eliminates the bypass function pressure cap with an air space in a pressure vessel for thermal expansion and pressurization. If the vessel is kept only half full, there shouldn't be any fluid loss. I have looked at many tanks on the market and settled on two. Actually three but one is in UK and other options are easier to obtain. 1. Howe racing 3424 https://howeracing.com/collections/radiators/products/surge-tank-horzontal-mount 2. Carbuilder HTHB/HTHR https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/horizontal-header-tank-bottom-brackets https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/horizontal-header-tank-rear-brackets 3. Moroso 36350/36351/36355/36356 https://www.moroso.com/universal-coolant-expansion-tank63651/ In theory, the front filler neck cap will be replaced (or not) with a basic sealing cap allowing the air bleed outlet to flow to the top of the coolant reservoir. Or, an air bleed at the top of the radiator. The water pump will draw from the bottom of the reservoir to create the cycle for a self bleeding system. Sounds good to me. Heres the perfect thread about XFlow sealed conversions that has all you need. https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/forums/topic/262147-sealed-cooling-upgrade-instructions-ford-kent-x-flow/
  16. Hoping to get numbers from someone's car.
  17. cheap used Caterham 1600 GT Xflow or that new Suzuki thing. Big power sells cars, but big power doesnt always suit the driving environment. The lower piwered 7s are more suitable for city and urban driving.
  18. anyone have thier compression ratios and psi averages from a Caterham Sprunt spec 1600 Crossflow?

  20. Thanks Ed. I reached out to Jack Webb to ask about the standard Imperial (Triumph) lower bolts ans he said those are not known to be of concern. My post is also intended to promote Jack Webb here. He does offer some worthwhile upgrades for the Catermams. I am particularly interested in his uprated Ital live axle half shafts. He said he needs a minmum of five orders to do them. Such shafts will complete a Quaife diff. They should be if particular interest to those with the tack welded bearings. I would be interested in a group buy, receiving and local distribution of the orders. If you have an Ital axle seven, it's the best investment you can make. NOBODY is doing this but Jack Webb. Rakeway was been teasing another run of thier axle kit, but AFAIK haven't done it.
  21. is there enough hole to get a small wet vac hose in? Assuming the volatile fumes are gone, I think repeated water suctions could get it out.
  22. DSK Technical bulletins? Would these pertain to all 7, or just proprietary to DSK items?
  23. I'll just ask the same question I ask everyone.. The rotor turns 1/2 crank speed so there are two TDCs. Are you aligned to the compression TDC? More than helpful...
  24. OK, I see you don't have the headlamp mounted flashers. I refer to these:
