Windshield Wiper Assembly Install Advice (2020 310R)
CBuff replied to Randy Flowers's topic in General Tech
This is where my 2023 420r wash bottle is. Tube exits thru fuel filler cover and down the trans tunnel. here is a detailed write up from purple meany https://purplemeanie.co.uk/index.php/2017/08/25/email-4-washer-bottle-in-the-boot/ -
I ran into the same dilemma when I was looking for my 1/2 hood last year. I ended up going with soft bits. They were relatively quick and communicative (I was still waiting on the car at that point).

I seem to recall that. Can I screen shot it and post it here or is that a a forum or Facebook faux pas? Was just tying to keep the information flowing to the people. -

Now available: new high level indicator + brake lights!
CBuff replied to das76's topic in Parts For Sale / Wanted
In the interest of not ripping apart all my boot carpet and flooring to route the wires behind the carpet I just ran them over. Worried about snagging on stuff I thought about Velcro to cover it (easily comes off the carpet but is very secure). Not really a huge deal to put it behind but for any of you who want to hide a wire run over the boot carpet. This worked well. 2 Inch x33 Feet Adhesive Hook and... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CC2VH7PW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I stuck the tape back to back so the soft side faced out and matched the carpet pretty well. -
Well I feel so dumb. That totally worked with the windshield washer jet. Over thought it as usual. Well learning is a good thing I guess. Sadly it’s usually accompanied with feeling like an idiot.

I just googled. might try this as I do t love how far mine sticks outs now.

I am not familiar but interested in that trick

This was one of my bauble and bolt ons. Works great. I noticed on my car the washer jet shot directly into the windshield rubber (no where near the glass). It was a pita to dismantle and try and get it angled up. Not sure if this is already installed but if not maybe worth proactively getting it aimed. (And yes I am sure I will catch heat for caring about the washer jet angle).

Well. Finally got around to putting the 3rd brake lights on. (I have been driving the car too much to take the time to do anything major). simple install as promised. I ended up not pulling the floor so just undid the outermost screw on the wooden floor section and pushed it up to allow for the led to pass thru. Re tacked the carpet down. I ran the vertical wire on the outside of the carpet (since my side carpets are trapped in the flooring ). Maybe I will change this over the winter. Or just run some Velcro strip down over the wire so nothing in the boot snags it. all in all very happy. -
I think you could do shrink tube. Adhesive on the horizontal portion of the tab. And non adhesive on the vertical leg. Making it removable. While heated pinch the end with pliers to make a cap. https://www.cabletiesandmore.com/heat-shrink-tubing-2-1?pid=1262&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADfXKhj64GLT7gr0mo9-a42_2eD6z&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgrO4BhC2ARIsAKQ7zUkCR5KkTBAIrvaia4MFBwKSJzdyeCqA6ilYVY00MDgkIzYcOFDlVHEaAt2ZEALw_wcB
