  1. Great find Jim. It has been a few years but I remember that one. David Saville Peck used to build these in Canada. SV chassis with the Hayabusa engine and gearbox. Always beautiful workmanship. The numbers are lovely 256hp FWHP and only 1100pounds wet, 200 pounds lighter than a regular SV wet. 250 pounds lighter than a CSR wet. I guess some interesting exercises happened to get this into the US from Canada?
  2. Part 2 Locost in Charlotte. SC Title, 1.8L 3TC Toyota engine. T50 transmission. Asking $9500 https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5501106089.html I would swear this has been on this thread before from the paint scheme alone I cannot find the ad to cross check and the seller says in the ad that it has never been offered before? http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/5509218055.html Asking $24500 GBS Zero kit in MI for sale at $2100 https://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/5497080615.html Remember Hemmings and classiccar.com are also out there to search.

Quite a few Panoz AIV roadsters out there for sale right now if that floats your boat? My vote for Salesman of the Year goes to Streetside Classics as they do their very best to sell what is left of a Panoz AIV. Look at this literary genius: Just brilliant! That is a masterclass in how to approach selling what is a very difficult thing to try and sell. Beers on me if you are over in my neck of the woods. Asking $27995 if you are interested. 2015 MEV Rocket. I think I hear the mating call of MrMustang with this one. He loves a financially troubled seller. $10000 BIN. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-MEV-Rocket-/172147030624?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2814c33a60:g:sE4AAOSwQjNW9dJe&item=172147030624
  4. Well I saw one person having a run at Lightning yesterday getting up to speed with the track for the first time. Car looked good and sounded good. He is going to be ready for July! So who on our list of 20 did I see? The organization begins. I met Carolyn yesterday and booked a karting slot for the Friday afternoon before the track days at 3pm. Pool party was organized for Friday night (pretty easy - regular burger menu and make sure someone is serving the window onto the patio). We will get stuck into refreshing motorsportreg.com sign in page shortly.
  5. Has anyone thought about the Motus V4 Baby Block as a potential seven engine? 1650cc 180hp at 8500rpm Gearbox and engine is nice and compact at 225lbs together wet weight Data sheet here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/files/v4.pdf Sounds pretty good from the audio files on the page here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/american-v4 or here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/files/Motus_MST_3000_rpm_Pass_By.mp3
  6. Just a reminder to everyone to book your Millville hotel rooms early as the overflow from the Jersey Shore usually books out some of the hotels that weekend and it can be difficult to get a hotel room at late notice. This usually does not apply to the NJMP pit suites as these are only reserved by track users staying overnight.
  7. Yep -Taber has got it spot on. Gert goes by the forum name of "Slomove" if you want to pm him.

  9. Winter has broken. Ebay sales are numerous. Spring is here. Driving season has commenced! Importing this should be "fun"... Todd is a member on this forum. $26500 http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/5455952521.html This is not all results as Google Search crashed overnight and failed the search scripts on the western half of the US. I will try again later when they get their act together. Don't forget the following 2 sites: http://www.hemmings.com http://www.classiccar.com
  10. I would be worried about crashing a drone too! I still remember the day we had a "Dangers of Drones" presentation at our annual conference and the guys managed to crash it full tilt into the CEO. I had enough crashes with remote control aircraft as a kid! :svengo: The drone footage makes the video in many ways - such an evocative sight of you carving corners sweetly through the hills. :cooldude:
  11. Thats pretty quick for a professional quality video. A TV commercial for 30 seconds would be days. I suspect it was only a small team say 4 people and a drone pilot to make it all work? Drones are banned at NJMP because of Millville airport. Milford is out because of Van Sants Airport. Bear Mountain is out because of the light aircraft corridor on the Hudson, White Plains Airport and I suspect proximity to West Point College. There is no way a amateur can match the quality of Petrolicious videos - we can dream though!
  12. Now that cracked me up laughing! The video is wonderful. I love how Petrolicious present cars. How long did it take them to shoot all the video of you?
  13. Congratulations on your new car! The snow is gone - drive it like you stole it!
  14. John - you may want to check the roll bar requirements. SCCA usually want a seven encased in armor and padded inside with cotton wool before you can enter it in any event....ok slight exaggeration...but the usual is full cage for hillclimbs and track is it not? Regular bar ok for autocross.
  15. The extra height is useful for frost heaves and I-95 on the Boston to DC corridor.
  16. $22500 - good price and a testament to the quality of this car. Congratulations to the seller and the new owner! I was very entertained watching the bidders and matching back to members on this forum. I think BAT auctions is a very interesting format for selling a classic these days. The past results for sevens has not been great but I guess it depends on the car on offer.
  17. This was an interesting and fun little article on the Indian Lotus 7, the Chinkara http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2016/03/foreign-affairs-chinkara-roadster-s-india/
  18. Thats good, no chance of a head gasket issue like the K series engines. :spam:
  19. Thanks Oldfart for clearing up this mystery and adding a new one. So if that is the case then the stacks are an expensive decoration these days! Or another way of saying it - he would have had an empty space to try and cover up if he removed the stacks and he did not want to do that. Looking at the photos again, I see he could not clear an sc intake where the existing stacks were. Despite the questions, it has been interesting to see how far a S1 could have been taken by Superformance had they been motivated and committed to their product.
  20. Whizzy's Westfield Ebay ad is here - bidding at $11500 with 5 days left. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-Westfield-Super-7-Sports-Car-/252317334445?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3abf48fbad:g:GsgAAOSwoBtW1hsE&item=252317334445 and on Craigslist here http://tulsa.craigslist.org/cto/5442826245.html In BC Canada there is an immaculate looking 1990 Westfield with clams in cream with a flamboyantly plum interior. Ex-Japan car so RHD. Engine code shows it as the Ford CVH 1.6L. They used to put these in Escorts in the 80s in the UK and Europe. Pretty rough noisy old engine from distant driving memory but they did respond well to tuning but that never got rid of the harsh vibrations and untuneful noise. The CVH turbo option is just what this car needs. The cross flow was a better designed engine despite being over a decade older in design. Buy it now at US$22500. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-WESTFIELD-SE-SEVEN-/121920177082?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1c630243ba:g:OogAAOSwZQxW4dkh&item=121920177082 The Robin Hood is back at $15999 opening bid with 14 hours to run and no bids http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-sport-/222045566983?forcerrptr=true&hash=item33b2f27807:g:OdcAAOSwuAVWyD1p&item=222045566983 Streetside Classic Dealer Lotus 7 S4 still around at a $32995 price http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-S4-/272137610661?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3f5caa65a5:g:DiMAAOSwDuJWzznz&item=272137610661 2010 Wharton Roadster. 21. Tunnel carpet is good for heat control, stopping your leg burning and gives a good finished look. I don't think you want shag. Kills all those poor little polyesters that we want to save. Go for a nice stainmaster berber. The pile stays deep and its easy to get grass stains out when you have a moment and your Dyson will keep it fresh and clean easily.
  22. The A60 compound is the one Avon describes in their tech specs as EU "road legal." The softer two compounds are the ones intended for Formula Ford racing. Given we have heavier cars than a formula ford, you may find it wears out quicker than you expect but the ACB10 is pretty consistent for grip across its entire life. Give it a try and let us know how good it is!
  23. Looks like everyone likes the look of your ring Shane!
  24. How does the intake work? You have 4 naked trumpets plus a cone filter and an apparently unnecessary hood scoop?
  25. Missed one earlier - the ultimate Superformance S1...asking $48000...oof! http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ohkAAOSwoBtW1uMP/s-l1600.jpg http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-/331792640379?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4d4061e97b:g:ohkAAOSwoBtW1uMP&item=331792640379
