  1. Tom, You've gone from diplomatic to modest......I ran 1:09's because I was trying to catch you and that elusive, big sneakered, yellow devil!:jester:
  2. Tom, It's all about the looks. Why do you think I really run (ran) wings? :jester: BTW, last photos of the Storker prior to TWS accident.
  3. Get'r done, Brit! :smash:........:auto:
  4. Tom, Hello and welcome to the forum. First, I second Kitcat's suggestions; in short, make sure the car is well sorted and dialed in so to speak. After that, I believe these (see photo) were being made available for Birkins at one time. This may be a good starting point: http://www.texasmotorworks7.com/parts# BTW, Dave, great looking car....and I really like the splitter!
  5. Z, More great stuff from another Storker driver; glad to see you out there having fun with the car! I'm currently in the 'very' early stages of rebuild prep for #85. Scott will be building a new frame for the car and is suggesting that I go back with power brakes. While my car requires (did require :jester: ) a generous amount of brake pedal effort to stop, the car had short brake pedal travel , a firm feel, stopped very well and allowed me to go much deeper into the braking zones than many other non-sevenesque cars. A few Storker drivers I've talked to swear by the power brakes as being the best thing since sliced bread. . . . . However.....there's the other side of the coin. Can you (would you) provide a fair comparison now you've had experience with both power and manual brakes on your car? Also, how does the new pedal setup compare to the old setup? Thanks. X
  6. Well, if you can shoehorn stuff like this ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAaOuS4UWSQ ) into tiny little go-kart . . . . . then why not! :smash: . . . :jester:
  7. My set up. In the seven years prior to my TWS accident, zero issues: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=6858
  8. Bravo, Mike! Thanks for sharing! Of course, with all those French names, Suave is drooling again.
  9. There ya go again.......taking everything literal. :jester:
  10. Mike, looks like you are runing two belts. Yes?
  11. Mike, Thanks . . . . . But now, might I bug you for a photo of your serpentine belt routing?
  12. All, Within the next couple of weeks, I'll be posting (in a new thread) details and video regaerding my accident at TWS. As for me, I've hit thirteen weeks today in the back brace. :svengo: I'll be visiting the doc a week from Monday to determine the next chapter of my life......wish me luck. :willy_nilly:
  13. Hey, guys, I'm gearing up for the rebuild of chassis #85 and am planning a few changes to the old gal. My alternator is curently reversed (see photo and additional photo link below) and sitting up high on the driver's side with the alternator housing perched just above the frame rail. While this setup has NEVER posed a problem, I'd very much like to move the alternator down low (probably to the passenger side) and face the business (pulley) end toward the front of the car. . . . . So, being that a photo is worth a thousand words, if you guys with LS-powered Stalkers sporting alternators in positions other then mine wouldn't mind posting photos of your setup, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!!!! :seeya: Alternator photo file link: http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=27136
  14. Suave!!!!! Stop that right now!!!!! . . . . And wipe that drool from the corner of your beak!!!! :ack:
  15. Sounds like a rhetorical admission of guilt.
  16. Croc, Will I be having cars and coffee in the morning? Suave is getting a bit antsy and needs his Saturday morning read. :jester:
  17. fmorser, Although I won't be attending this year's event, I went last year and can vouch for the track security; excellent. Theft and/or vandalism will be the least of your concerns. However, I cannot guarantee that you will not fall prey to the track-side shenanigans of Croc and yellowss7.
  18. Time for a startup vid, Brit.
  19. How about highest BASE jump with no parachute!!! :jester:
  20. Dan, Congrats on the purchase for your dad. I'm sure you'll have the car lined out and sorted in short order.
  21. Well done, sir!
  22. . . . . . . .
  23. I've never even heard of anything like that before!
  24. Paul, I'll keep that in mind. :jester:
