Now that it has been a few days for me to rethink this remake .. I agree with a lot of what has already been written .. it is appropriate for our information age .. There were these lines in the original series: Six says, "The whole world as the village?" Two says, "It is my dream." Are we more like residents of the village than we like to think? Rob

recording the last two hours now .. and to watch later .. My wife says she doesn't like it .. "too weird" .. but she watched hours 3/4 with me today .. wait and see .. (there's enough female stuff to keep me interested ..).

I taped the episodes .. and this afternoon watched them with my wife .. we just FF through the coming scenes and commercials. That "do-whap" song played in the second hour when Six was tied to a stake with a grenade in his mouth was from Beach Boy, Brian Wilson's SMILE CD that came out just a few years ago. My CD is somewhere .. ? I liked seeing 93's coat and Lava Lamp. The Rover weather balloon still wigs me out .. What is missing is the Cold War theme .. "Whose side are you on?" .. so the writer had to make it just head games. It's still weird enough for me to continue taping tonight .. Friday's NYTimes had a full ad for the show .. that alone costs $65k. With all the publicity I would be willing to bet that that they have made more than 6 episodes. I still expect to see a ref to KAR120C somewhere .. maybe just the license plate .. as the Seven was such a part of the original series .. Rob

I just reread the Automobile magazine article .. that sure was a fun event! I'm glad I made it .. even though at the time my Rotus was not up for the road yet .. Good thing I made it to Birmingham! Look forward to 2011 too. Rob

I do have Caterham seats in my Rotus .. and they do say Caterham on the headrest ... so I'm fake branded too .. But hey .. these leather seats are nice! When people say that's a Lotus .. I just agree! But when they say it's a Caterham .. I talk about the Rotus Co. Rob
