  2. Hi, It has been on outgoing discussion, but you not lose 50 lbs with the duratec; maybe 10-15 lbs. Better breathing via larger valves and shorter stroke. I think that the factory weight for the zetec was with cast iron maniford. I checked with Raceline a time ago and they weighed 95 Kg ready to install. I weighed mine and it was 215-220 ready to install. Not much difference.
  3. Hi, Don't know how well a duratec 2.3 will swap into an S3. There may be interference with steering shaft and front cover. You will need to do a lot of measuring. The zetec is a common swap as it fits without too many modifications. When I installed mine, only the output of the water pump housing had to be modified. Of course, there are motor mounts, headers and other swap related tasks. Be interesting to follow your swap. Wayne
  4. Has anybody tried a Hydramat by Holley for their fuel pickup. The claims are impressive. Wayne
  5. How can you beat this value $85. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/23-Ford-7-3-4-Inch-Racing-Pressure-Plate,8585.html bolts in place of 8 1/2; requires spacing the throwout bearing closer to the flywheel. Wayne
  6. SVT should be a good choice. Be careful using a stock disc if the engine revs over 6k. The standard type disc will disintegrate over that RPM. I have had that happen. Might suggest a RAM clutch assembly that can be purchased from Speedway. Mine revs to 8K and so far, no problems after 2 yrs of WOT shifts. Wayne Be interesting to hear how the intake manifold works out.
  7. Hi, Where are you located? I have replaced the radiator, added fuel injection and changed the steering rack on my long cockpit, big tube, BD chassis Cat of the same era. Call me to discuss, Wayne 619-444-0840
  8. RAM has a clutch assembly for the 2.0 and 2.3 Pinto. Bought mine from Speedway. Bolted right on to the Redline steel flywheel; not sure if you are using the SVT flywheel as it is setup for the larger bolts. Wayne

  15. While watching Car Crazy noticed an all white S4 in the Monico museum; white body and white upholstery, chrome roll bar and headlights, alloy wheels. There was an air intake cut into the nose cone and the drivers (RHD) side. They said that the Prince was into all types of cars. Wayne

  23. The cosworth BD series comes in many flavors. The BDA is the generic version. The BDD is the atlantic version, BDP was used in the USAC midgets. The BDR is a head conversions. Unless the reciprocal assembly is upgraded, the full potential will not be attained. A BDD relines at over 9K, where as a BDR is around 7K. The major BDD HP gains are above 7K. For local parts, bdaengines. com. Gordon says that he has licensing rights from cosworth. Wayne Wayne
