Has anybody replaced the speedometer seal on a Type 9 transmission without removing the speedo gear? On a Superformance S1 they have an access door in the tunnel for the fill plug but not for the speedo gear plug so it’s pretty tight underneath. Thanks, Ron.

Has anybody found a cheaper alternative to the carbon silencer that Westfield sells? https://parts.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=212 Apparently they are made by another company (Motad)that seems to be out of business. Thanks, Ron.

Which is why Superformance went with a solid rear axle with Munford links - allows for a large trunk, as they advertised - more rear trunk area than a Mazda Miata. -
In a car as light as a 7, 30 hp is going to make a big difference. I had a Westfield with a 2l built Vauxhall at about 185 hp. Now I have a Superformance S1 with a mostly stock 2l Zetec. Westfield was like a rocket compared to the S1.

Seems good for sellers at only $99 but I think it is a rip-off for buys at 5% commission! I would never pay that. I did just buy a car that was listed a while ago on the site but I purchased it after it did not sell.

Congrats on the purchase, post pics when you have it! Great engine - I have a car coming in 2-3 weeks with a Rover K series VHPD built to 233 hp and 8000 redline. I’ll create a separate post soon with the details. Ron.
