Used, yes, I’m sure I’ll be needing advice, thanks.

wont be attening njmp (if NJ means New Jersey) bit of a drive from California. ;-)

Keep an eye on Bring a Trailer. They come up regularly. One identical to mine sold to 24K not too long ago.

Good luck. Just went through that myself - the spousal approval! :-)

...not that anyone asked ;-)

There are some very skilled gentlemen on this forum who enjoy spending other people's money. We are going to have some fun! :)

Does it have to be a Caterham? I've started a new project and i'm only a short drive down the road in Las Vegas. My Birkin has 205 hp and independent rear end.

I’ve only driven Caterham and WCM. I’m looking for something at least as refined/friendly as the Caterham (well most of them anyway) so my wife can drive it at autocross. There is no way she could have managed the WCM I had. Of course it was a Busa (and a beast). The finish of my WCM was nowhere near as good as Caterham’s I have driven. Need something that pretends to be a real streetable car, at least enough to not intimidate my wife, not a stripped out race car.

also want something relatively bulletproof, I prefer driving to turning wrenches...that’s just me. ;-)

So, that being said, not really sure about the Birkin, having never driven one. You can PM me if you like. I’ve had a few people contact me already with offerings. Happy to have a look.

Thanks.

you'll have an adventure with whatever you get. i'm not really pushing to sell the Birkin, ( I drive it almost every week) but will let it go to someone who really wants one. if you learn more about them and get interested, let me know.

As near as I can tell, there is a difference between an equally spec'ed Birkin and a Caterham...$10k.

There, that ought to start something. ;)

Well...things changing a bit. Wife is ok with getting car, happy with Autocross, not so happy with high speed track days.

So now narrowing ( or opening the field depending on how you look at it) to

2L Caterham or Stalker as they fit neatly into D Modified or E Modified classes.

I’m more partial to the lighter cars myself, but would consider a Stalker...

Still only interested in modern motors, 175+HP with Ecu and easy to source parts and service.

Unfortunately there is no place(that I can find) in Autocross for over 2 liter Caterham’s due to weight restrictions.

And yet, both extremely fun to drive

Just saying :D

Did you have to buy her a new kitchen like at least one other forum member I can think of? World's most expensive seven!

What would be your criteria for a Stalker?
