Al N. Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Locost7018...my 9 year old daughter asked for a Lego Ferrari set for her recent birthday and her 6 year old sister can pronounce "Barrichello" properly. The real question is where did I go wrong!?!
BusaLoco Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 So I have taken the opportunity thoroughly read all the enlightened missives of all the postings on this forum topic and mind you I'm no math wiz but I have tallied all of the sums of the ages of the 7 owners and further have divided the sum against the number of respondents and I can now say with no equivocation nor shadow of a doubt, that the average age of the "7 addict" is 9 ... (mentally speaking). Cheers! coffee break Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I guess I'm a little late to this thread, but here goes. In 2007 I was 7 years younger of my current almost 60 (gasp, I'm not ready). I remember seeing 7's at Road Atlanta in the early '80's during the Run Offs. How 'bout y'all now? :seeya:

AndyB Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I'll be 64 1st week of March and first fell in love with Lotus when I got a ride in a heavly tracked Lotus 6 with a fire pump engine and most important an all "aluminium" body. Guess I'm a member of the Tom Club because that was in 1961 when I was 11, forward 47 years and I purchased my Caterham. I will drive it any distance for as long as I can still climb in it and I will drive it in temps down to -10º ç or 14º F. with zero weather equipment, I just dress silly:)
xcarguy Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I'll be 64 1st week of March and . . . . forward 47 years and I purchased my Caterham. I will drive it any distance for as long as I can still climb in it and I will drive it in temps down to -10º ç or 14º F. with zero weather equipment, I just dress silly:) I am humbled. :chillpill: Oh . . . 53 in June. :ack:
Kitcat Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Interesting thread which, thx to being so old, I'd forgotten all abt:). Anyhow, I see in 2007 I was 60 and had 3 kids in college and no se7en. Now I have no kids in college and I have had 3 se7ens (including my current one).
RGTorque Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 got the bug when i was 21, late in my 22nd year i bought my first love... has been a fiery romance ever since.
Croc Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I am on my third mid-life crisis so that means I am back to being 17 years old again! :cooldude: If you have not had a mid-life crisis yet I can thoroughly recommend them.

I had mine and had a choice, a Seven half my age or a woman half my age, luckily I could not afford the divorce and now my wife, my Seven and I are very happy

I started my midlife crisis at an early age and have managed to maintain an ongoing, reoccurring theme ever since. If the definition of insanity is repetitive behavior with the expectation of the outcome being different each time . . . then I suppose I'm all in. :willy_nilly: Maybe that's why I keep modifying and tinkering.
bigdog Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I remember years ago (can't remember when exactly but around 30 or more) seeing a seven in a magazine and thought I'd like one. Finally got one at the age of 56.
S1Steve Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I'll be 56 in May. I've been a slave to English cars and bikes for almost all my life. I always just pinned it on my Grandfather, he had a Singer when I was young. Just wish he were around to drive the S1... He would never give it back....
lancylad Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Watching the prisoner at my youthful age of 18, lusted after a seven throughout the marriage children years, finally got my dream car at age 60, four years in and looking forward to Sooooo many more....
MK1962 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Wanted one since seeing The Prisoner in 1967 or 68, almost got one in 1970, then life got in the way, but finally found my 1962 3 years ago when I was just 57. Drive it every day and intend to do so until I can’t get out of it under my own power
