that doesn't look great.

Anyone remember project split wheel? that had better looking concepts I think.

The Caterham 21 wasn't exactly a masterpiece of modern design but it was prettier than the "startled lotus 11 wannabe"

I don't think it will ever be imported here, as it doesn't look like it will be in kit form. But here is a video from Caterham.

OK, I will say it...its not good looking, or hairy, or "fashion forward"...its just ugly. I hope that nose is not designed around the new Euro laws to prevent pedestrians from getting caught under the car when they are hit. Please tell me that it is designed for aerodynamics or cooling or something!

The problem is that it doesn't look all that aero. Know what I mean? I didn't see them testing it in a wind tunnel or anything. I get that fluid dynamics of gasses is rather counter-intuitive but I just dont see how that thing is going to cut through the air a whole lot better than a seven. I do get what they were trying to do. I see the smaller 7ish nose in there, surrounded by a shell. I think I would rather have gone with a seven that had a longer nose cone and indy-car style aero.

Just the enclosed wheels and suspension alone will create massively better aerodynamics. It may have slightly greater frontal area than a Seven but its coefficient of drag will be miles better.

Just read this tidbit in the press release:

"the race-inspired steering wheel incorporates 'Road' mode, 'Flash-to-Pass' and 'Pit Lane Speed Limiter' functions."

I can't recall how many times I wished I had that last feature on my cars...

Good way to prevent getting tickets.

Left a little cold by aspects of the front-end, but the rest of it is well executed. A slippery 7 would be sweet. I wonder how much all the extra bodywork adds to the curb weight over a regular CSR.

And just what is the Cd that they are claiming? FWIW, I could get used to it IFFFFFFFF it was better aero than the original? What does it look like with a street legal windshield? Who is going to be the first to make a clone body for their Sevenseque car?

Take the ugly lime green upper skin off and I might like the new slimmer, more aero retro looking Seven underneath better.
