xcarguy
Morn'n, Mike. I'm thinking 1800 Toyota Carolla engine for the Greenville locost.
scannon
I'm guessing the engine is a Renault or a Citroen from the '60s or '70s. I've seen that cam cover and spark plug wires somewhere in the dim, dark past.
Jawfish
I would say toyota TC serie with a single weber downdraft... We had a 3TC with a similar set-up... it was good for about 95HP
xcarguy
Here's a comparison: 1980-ish Carolla 1800 vs ?
Croc
You know, I get quite worried when a Stalker owner has intimate knowledge of an early 1980s era Toyota engine. Makes me wonder what other dirty and kinky things are running through his mind..... :leaving:
mrmustang
I'm local to the Greenville car if someone from far and away is truly interested in it. If not, I won't waste my time either Bill S.

xcarguy
You know, I get quite worried when a Stalker owner has intimate knowledge of an early 1980s era Toyota engine. Makes me wonder what other dirty and kinky things are running through his mind..... :leaving: Yhea and Because its a HEMI is not a valid excuse :-) I got lucky on this one. When I was in high school, I worked at a local grocery store. One day, as I was out on the lot gathering buggies, I saw parked in the lot what, at the time, was a brand new Toyota Carolla; white with some sort of sporty stripes and a tan interior. I thought it a great looking car and would be a good commute. But, as fate would have it, along came Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Coors and Pontiac to the rescue and I quickly migrated to lusting after the American iron of the time. The Idea of owning that white Carolla got pushed to the back of my mind. The memory is now old and dusty, but still there. In all fairness, if you stuck a Crossflow in front of me, I'd stand there with a deer-in-the-headlights look; sadly, I know between very little and nothing about Crossflows. But looking back, I have to wonder if half a HEMI would have been better than no HEMI at all. . . . . . . . :jester: Edited February 15, 2015 by xcarguy
NVP66S
I think you are confusing the Toyota Corolla with Adam Carolla. Two very different things, man.
Croc
Not really - both look pretty average and both are painfully slow. The Corolla is probably built better though! :smash: I would have preferred to lust over Sally Fields instead of the Corolla. Some people aspire to more than mediocrity! :seeya: Now here is a seven ad that is jaw dropping! Oldfart
Actually I was on a flight to London that was turned back halfway there because of smoke in the cabin. Three hours back, another 5 hour wait and I got the next United Scarelines flight back to London for a door to door trip time of 25 hours. Now sitting in London feeling all discombobulated. Fleabay has a BRG Stalker. It was up for sale for a while last year - guess it did not sell? http://www.ebay.com/itm/251837744487?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This one sold for $17,800 on ebay last night.
