Croc
Hi Mike Its the same Caterham I have been using for years over in UK and Europe for Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps, Dijon, Magny Cours, Angelsey, Donington, Brands Hatch, etc. or Duratec 180hp with the 6 speed so yes roughly the same as the SVT Zetec. Max revs at 6800rpm which limits me to around 115-188mph - I have to lift off in 6th frequently to keep it under the limit. Its on its 5th engine I think. No windscreen or headlights. I quite happily run on less power than my CSR - you have seen me get out in my maroon standard zetec with 135hp and have fun. There is a huge contrast between my CSR and a R300 and its not all negative on the R300 since it is lighter, more agile and more interactive because of the de dion. More power is not always a better thing despite what many people on this forum would think. You have to drive the two sevens back to back to see what I mean. Apart from having fun, my objective on these days is to get within 4% of the R300 fastest qualifying lap/lap record on that circuit by the end of the first day. I always manage to achieve it, apart from Spa where I needed another hour the next morning to work up some courage to not lift on eau rouge. Cheers mike Edited October 2, 2016 by Croc

Croc
Its sevenesque. It looks better than a Lotus S4 but would likely be slower with a dak dak engine compared with the twin cam in the Lotus. And with VW/Porsche suspension technology, I also believe it would handle worse than a Lotus 7 S4. Croc
The Caterham SV's come up regularly. There is one out there now for sale by word of mouth. At least one a month comes up. There is a price premium on these because of their relative rarity - call it 20-25% extra over the S3 chassis. Now that Birkin sells their own wider version that is one to keep an eye out for too - similar dimensions to the Caterham SV. CSRs are rare. I have seen 5 come up for sale in the last 5 years. None are 360 engine package - they were all the Cosworth Duratec 263hp package. The two cheapest were RHD and only one of those dropped below $50k. All others were higher values. Post what you are looking for and you may trigger some interest from a seller not actively advertising. This is the time of year to do a deal - just before winter. Dan3030
Pre-litigation - Prior to Caterham suing Westfield and the associated changes Westfield needed to make to differentiate (i.e. Fiberglass).
Kitcat
Pre-lit Westfields were basically Caterham clones (I mean that in a good way). Caterham took offense and sued, and Westfield changed the design considerably to differentiate their product (again in a good way, just a different way). lotusman1951
Pre-lit Westfields about 1981 had 3 major improvements later Caterhams in part adopted. Front suspension without including swaybar in upper link, Full 2 A arm suspension. Transmission tunnel tubed in and skinned-way stronger 5 link rear suspension like a Series 1 Seven. So pre-lit Westfields are superior to earlier Caterhams or s2/3 loti 7s-Westfields engineering basically pushed caterham to mess with the early 7 frame/suspension. They are special cars

Croc
Thanks guys for contributing the ones above. I will also put them into this post so everything for sale is in one post. Stalker XL Classic kit that is part way turning into something quite extraordinary and I mean that in a good way. I like where this is headed. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=11900&stc=1 This is a Stalker XL Classic kit underneath a custom made Indy roadster inspired body. This is truely a one of kind vehicle. The car is assembled, drives, guages and all electrical work. The body just needs sanding and finishing off. The builder of this car has been forced to let go due to unfortunate circumstances. It has a very low miles GM 3.8 supercharged V6 L32 engine with a rebuilt T5 transmission. The differential is brand new with LSD. It has sumitomo 255/17 tires in front with 315/17 tires in the rear. Speedhut gauges with turned aluminum dash board, cool knock off style wire wheels, GAZ adjustable shocks, Coleman racing steering rack, Kirkey seats, and a very nice fuel filler door are just some of the great features. The body was custom made from the inspiration of an old Indy roadster and has been done very well. This is a one of kind vehicle available for an absolute steal. There is nearly $55k invested into this vehicle. The car is currently located at the Stalker Cars factory in Clearwater FL. If so desired, an oringinal Stalker body can be purchased and fitted back to the chassis. There is currently no title for the vehicle but does include the MCO from Stalker Cars. $28K buy it now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Replica-Kit-Makes-Stalker-Cars-XL-kit-with-one-off-body-Base-/112181315332?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1a1e870704:g:9DkAAOSwx2dYD7tk&item=112181315332 Its not a 7 but it is a Lotus 11 replica http://www.ebay.com/itm/1963-Replica-Kit-Makes-Lotus-Eleven-11-/272429770929?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3f6e1468b1:g:hk0AAOSwMVdYE0gL&item=272429770929 2005 WMC Ultralite with trailer for $29,995 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-Ultralite-S2K-/351872841420?forcerrptr=true&hash=item51ed4176cc:g:x~8AAOSw8gVX-95U&item=351872841420 CMC 7 (Locost) This is good value at $11k buy it now. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=11901&stc=1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Other-CMC-Kit-Car-/262692969467?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3d29b89bfb:g:83YAAOSwLF1X96QJ&item=262692969467 1972 Lotus 7 S4 in yellow for $23k http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Lotus-Super-Seven-/282238087176?forcerrptr=true&hash=item41b6b37008:g:LasAAOSwal5YFbVD&item=282238087176 As mentioned by Meryl Streep...sorry "TheDingo8MyBaby" above, a pre-lit Westfield.
