  1. Fuel pump might have come off the pickup tube if you were sloshing the fuel back and forth.
  2. I agree the S2000 car you really had to rev to get it up to speed. With a 1300 lb weight loss and 4:44 gearing changes things. The lower torque really isn't so evident in a 7 and vtec kick is more exciting. MMTx where do you live?
  3. Locost your car came out really nice I followed the build for a long time. I love the wheels. Good job.
  4. MMTX have you ridden in a 7 type with the F20C?
  5. That's one of the reasons I like S2000 drivetrain. It's fast smooth with factory trans and factory ecu. It is rather well engineered too.
  6. S2000 with Rotrex supercharger makes massive power and massive torque from 2500-9500. Especially at 23 psi on E85. Not sure how common turbo Saab engines are. I have never seen a Saab i my home town that I'm aware of. A quick look on eBay revealed a few turbo engines in the 500.00 range. They look rather compact if trans options aren't an issue it would just be a matter of sorting the electrics out. I'm curios what they weigh?
  7. Our employer contributes a set amount and it hasnt changed for 22 years. We on the other hand have upped our contributions multiple times over the years. We are a well funded plan with wise conservative investments that have done well over the years. We are in real danger of losing our DB plan due to political pressure from all the money managment firms. We have a total of 3 Trillion invested by Texas public pension plans. On average we pay 2-3 basis points to our money managers. If they are succesful in crushing our DB plans and force us to DC plans then most of that money will be forced in to 401k plans which usually includes Mutual funds which charge 1-3% and plus other hidden fees. This comes out to Billions more dollars in management fees. So when you start hearing politians/f***((( liars say that DB plans are responsible for all the worlds woes. Its just a pack of lies. We have hired actuary firms to run the numbers and It will save the local goverments zero dollars and usually will increase cost after 8-10 years.
  8. AA12 is Amercan made. It shots multiple round including explosive tip projectiles.
  9. Snoozle Striker made by Osh Kosh it is an aircraft firefighting truck.
  10. Were loooooong term. DB Pension plan.
  11. Deep and wide as the GRAND CANYON! Today really hurt.
  12. Thats funny this thread came up. I was at work the other day with my car and thought I wonder what the size difference is between it and my work truck.
  13. I love superchargers. Bottom line they add fun. Reliability shouldn't be an issue if you don't go crazy with boost keep it under 7-9 psi. Not all superchargers perform the same. Any idea which one Dick Brink is using? I vote Rotrex hands down.
  14. I love Texas. I went to get my car registered the other day. I had to get an inspection first. I pulled up to the station about six guys came out asked a bunch of ?'s about the car. I told the inspector I need a sticker he asked does everything work? I said yes he said I won't make you unload it off the trailer. He gave me the sticker and I went on my way. It doesn't work that way in Dallas or Houston.
  15. Sweet I like the white chassis. It's going to fun.
  16. Turbo seems like the wrong size. It takes to long to spool up.
  17. That episode sucked!
  18. Wow I love the 23, but waaaaaaaaaaay out of my league.
  19. It looks like car was to far back on the trailer. This reduces tongue weight and is asking for trouble. Top that off with to big of a load for the tow vehicle and it has accident written all over that. Good news, it did appear to be strapped down pretty well.
  20. I consider myself a car guy but the 911 lineup is confusing as all get out to me. There seems to be 20 different types of 911s. One is 50k another another is 180k. I know they have the turbo models and special packages but it is as confusing as a Harley Davidson models. Does anyone have a way of explaining the 911 models?
  21. I always wanted to do a Lotus 11 with a Busa engine. I think that would be a riot.
  22. That's a good deal on the Boxster it's close to me.
  23. What's great about the v8 is the torque the v6 isn't going to make as much. You can go up to 650hp on the v8 and still run pump gas. Just more room to grow with the v8. I understand that most are not interested in this level of power but a few are.
  24. Most complaints I hear is low on power. Perfect handling but the brakes could use some improvement for the track. TPC turbo upgrade seems popular for boosting power gets you to 450 rwhp range with only 5 lbs of boost. That's is a pricey kit though 11k. A lot of people rave about the power with the turbo. They run down GT'3 on a regular basis. My main concern is maintenance cost. I wonder if I would be allowed to do some myself or does the factory mechanics need to do them for any warranty issues.
  25. I'm interested in a Porsche Cayman S. I read good things about them I'm interested to see what my fellow 7 enthusiast think about them. I will be buying a used one if I buy one at all. Any year better than others?
