  1. Whats up with You Tube. They are making me get a google email account to link to You Tube videos. My old account is no longer any good unless I link it to a Googe email account. Google has gone crazy.
  2. My truck gets 20 mpg with car and trailer doing 74mph. Bio diesel cost me .70 cents a gollon. I just drove to Colorado Springs and back on about 65.00 dollars. Gotta love that Bio Diesel.
  3. Tillers are great and should fit. Only down side is cost.
  4. It is going to be difficult to put so many varieties of any paticular car design into one definition. Would you consider a Stalker with a 100 hp 4 cylinder a 7 ? Is a Stalker or any other LSIS with a 400hp 4 cyl. a 7? I would think most people would consider Johns car a supercar if you looked at just the performance specs(0-60, 1/4, braking distance, lap times, etc). It would bet the cars that most people consider supercars would lag behind Johns in all ,but top speed and creature comfort items (AC, Radio, top, Italian stitched leather interior). Maybe if your car had 500hp you would consider it a supercar too? I not so sure that Colin would be so upset with the route alot of compays are heading. What would Colin do today if he had our technology? Do you still think he would use a 100hp 4 cyl? I think he used what was available back in the day. I think he would go with a 500hp 1700 lb car over a 100hp 1000lb car. As long as it is properly done I think he would lean towards Johns route.
  5. Mine lasted for 3 years in my right ear after the first year of 1 Lap. Actually the damage occured in the first 3 or 4 hours. We had no ear plugs when we started the journey we picked some up when our ears were ringing and hurting. It was to late. 7evin and I have permanent hearing damage in the right ear from that day. Mine is significant enough I have a hard time talking on a phone on the right ear. I would recommend seeing a hearing specialist to get it checked. You dont want to wait to long to fix damage if there is any physical damage.
  6. Drive smooth and listen to your instructor. Corner entry and exits are what its all about. Dont try to go fast your first weekend. Listen when they are teaching Vehicle Dynamics its one of the most important parts of driving on a track. Ride with an instructor during their session if possible. Most of all have fun.
  7. Cen Peco is my favorite, but its not available in my area I have to order on the net. They are expensive but they use quality base products and custom blend their lubricants. I just havent used them much lately because shipping is so much. So switched back to Dello.
  8. It couldnt have happened to a nicer guy.
  9. Dont know anyone with the Super Tiger in the USA. I have looked at their cars they seem like a good product. We just dont hear much about them here. They seem to be popular in the UK. We do appreciate your service. You will love a 7 of any type. Happy hunting go for as many rides as possible. They all have some advantages and disadvantages.
  10. I hope its not to late to join in the fun. I called the hotel in Custer and Deadwood and they have a room left. We have to sort out a place for our son to stay so we can go. So I am not 100 percent sure yet but it looks promising. We will be leaving the tour on the 18th if we can make it.
  11. I agree with the Marvel Mystery Oil. Pull the plugs and apply liberal amount in the cylinder. Let it sit for a few days then get on the crank bolt and move it slowly back and forth. If it is frozen before removing the head and beating on a piston. I remove the crank and make an adapter with and old spark plug and put a grease fitting on it. Then use a grease gun to fill the cylinder with grease and pump up the cylinder to apply pressure to the piston which will pop the pistons loose. I have done this a few times on old tractors that have been sitting for years to get them engine free. One of those air hydraulic guns makes life much easier for this. Compressed air will work also but you have to be careful that you dont shoot the piston across the garage when it lets go. The grease is a little safer route but is a bit messy.
  12. That is really nice. Like all things location location location is the key. Motorsports Ranch here in Texas has tried this to a degree. They tried selling condo style houses with living area upstairs and garages down stairs. They are pretty big about 2500sqft or so per floor. They sold about 3 but no new ones the last few years. They have a number of garage spaces also I would guess about 200 or so. They all seem to stay full but I think you just rent the garages spaces. Most seem to be occuppied with race cars but some use it to store their toys.
  13. That is so cool. There was a company in Europe somewhere that building a Supercar completely out of wood. It's been a few years back. It is amazing they can shape wood like that.
  14. That is why I use diesel engine oils in all my engines ZDDP levels are around 1500 ppm. Saves wear on all engines. I have about 17 engines on my property all run Dello 400.
  15. You might would think if it didn't move there might be something up. Of course I have never seen alligator lawn ornaments either.
  16. Welcome aboard
  17. We had a few cars at the house this weekend so we took a picture of the group.
  18. I have to report the Nitto NT 01 tires were very good. Amazing grip and very linear when on the edge. They responded great even to my hacked rusty driving. High levels of grip very forgiving I can highly recommend this tire.
  19. Having built a number of trailers. Both open and closed I can tell you that it is cheaper to buy a factory built trailer than to build your own. I built a 7x12x4 with a lift top on it. It lifted alot like a pickup bed cover. I was trying to keep it low profile to make it easy to pull with a small suv and the customer wanted to be able to put it in his garage with the car in it. It turned out pretty nice I think, but I could have purchased a 7x14 low profile tandem axle bike trailer for about the same price. It wouldn't have fit in his garage but that was about the only requirement that it lacked. Not having learned my lesson I just built a 6.5' x 12' flat bed trailer to haul my Ultralite on. I was wanting something light weight just for the car. I shopped for two days on the net to find a good deal on axle, hitch, lights, jack wheels and tires. The steel supply house is literally two blocks from me where I bought all the metal. I spent two full days building it. I then sanded and epoxy primed and painted the trailer. I had a total of 1250.00 in it and I could have gone down the road and purchased a similiar trailer with a powder coated finish that is just as well built as my trailer for 1280.00. So for 30.00 I savings I spent two days of my valuable time and the 1250.00 doesnt even include welding gas and supplies, sandpaper, primer, and misc items. The trailer that sells for 1280.00 has side rails and a folding removeable ramp gate. I officially state that I will never build another trailer. I dont know how these trailer manufactures keep the doors open. Unless you are just wanting to do it as a project, or have a special style trailer that just isnt available. I would buy a factory trailer and save yourself in the long run. Thats my experience.
  20. I used the Falkens before and I was very pleased with dry performance. They were not great in the rain. Hydroplaning starts at about 55 in a hard rain.
  21. I was pleased with the price and it is rumored that it is the compound as the Ra1 so I'm hoping to get good life out of it.
  22. I just purchased Nitto NT-01 they look promising I guess we will find out this weekend if I can get the rest of the odds and ends done.
  23. Leh Keen and Douglas Wilks won the One Lap of America this year in a GTR. Im sure it was heavily modded. He is a very experienced driver as well. He blew away most of the field on just about every track. He ran 10.6 1/4 miles so he is in the 800hp range. There were multiple GTRs in the event this year there were 3 were in the top 10 overall. The Ford Roush stage 3 Mustang ran pretty well too.
  24. I had a Kabota tractor tha hadthis same issue. It was a 23hp gas engine. If it got wet it would sputter and back fire just run like crap. If it had moisture in the dist it got hot it would steam up and the moisture would collect in the cap and it would begin to misfire. It really sounds like the problem. WD40 helps but the real cure is to leave the cap off on a sunny hot day put a small fan blowing on it for about an 1 hour. Replace the gasket between the cap and dist.
