  1. Welcome Bob, I'm not sure where you can get replacement parts for an Ultralite, but do you have a photo of the control arm? It might be something that could be easy to repair or fabricate.
  2. I don't think I've seen this one on Ebay before: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1919-Lotus-Other/333018508206?hash=item4d89732bae:g:l6IAAOSwZ-9cP2U0:rk:12:pf:0&vxp=mtr There's also a possible Caterham business opportunity noted by the seller.
  3. I really enjoyed the previous Seven video featuring Geoff Wise's Series 2 Seven. Here's another nice video featuring a Series 2 from France. Really impressed with the quality of the video's on Petrolicious.
  4. Do you have a photo of the wheel cylinder? I think I still have some Bugeye brake parts laying around to cross reference. It'd help to know the bore diameter too.
  5. Enjoyed reading your build Daniel, it's going to be a beast! As far as the speedometer issue, it might be worth trying a new sensor. I removed the "sensor wheel" on my old Birkin and just aimed the sensor at the bolt heads on the driveshaft with the correct gap and it always worked perfectly for me. If you're not able to get it to work there are always GPS speedometers that I've heard work well but have no personal experience. Speedhut even has gauges that you can change the looks of (font, needle color, etc) to try to match your original gauges.
  6. Thanks Russ, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
  7. Welcome Jim. Don't be afraid to share some pics of your new car. I'm just recently back in the Seven game after being out of it for a few years. There really is nothing like a Seven!
  8. Thanks NVP66S. I'm actually looking for the whole setup from the front engine plate, the rubber mount, and the metal bracketry that bolts to the chassis. I did find a couple photos but it's hard to get a lot of detail as how they're made. I'm assuming the rubber mount is the rectangular mounts used on the Sprite/Midgets.
  9. Does anyone have a photo of what the original engine mount setup looks like with a BMC A-series engine installed on either a Series 1 or 2? I'm assuming they used the original front engine plate and adapted it somehow. I haven't been able to find one in my research yet. TIA
  10. Thanks lotusman1951, I'm still doing research to figure out what direction I want to go in. I've always wanted to vintage race and have a 948cc from my first car sitting in my basement. Would think it'd make a nice beginner vintage racecar.
  11. APT should have 948cc HC pistons, maybe MiniMania too.
  12. Thanks wemtd!
  13. Lotusman1951 - Sorry you didn't win but glad you didn't bid any higher. I ended up picking this one up on Saturday with my son. After having to sell my Birkin a few years back it feels good to be back in the Seven game! I'll start another thread sometime soon with a better description and photos of the car. Still don't know what direction I'm going to go with this one but it should be an interesting project.
  14. Thanks Stewart, that's what I figured.
  15. Can you verify what size wheels are on the car? Are they 13 x 7 rear, not 15 x 7"? Thanks! Minilite style wheels 13 x 6 front wheels with 175-55 CR500 part worn tires 15 x 7 rear wheels with 205-55 CR500 part worn tires
  16. The exhaust is sold.
