  1. My engine is still in the crate and I couldn't find any pictures on the internet so can't help you there. I would think any port on the intake that is manifold vacuum (after the TB) and fits the hose size of the MAP sensor should work fine. When I get home from work I can check a little closer.
  2. Just for reference my 2019 Metric chassis has the clutch M/C vertical and the brake M/C angled. The reservoir (combined for both) is remotely located on the passenger side firewall.
  3. I'm almost exactly your size and the S3 fits me like a glove. The only time I would want an SV is if I was doing some long distance touring, but for the rest of the time I prefer the S3. If I didn't already have a Cat in my garage I would be bidding on this car. The spec looks really good and the seller is very experienced with Caterhams. Good luck DatsunBRZ!
  4. Here's the latest: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/car-accessories/a32718017/caterham-seven-310-project-car-update/
  5. Good luck today Greg, it's been fun following your build!
  6. I can't say for sure but the lighting of the photos could be making the BRG look darker than it really is. Check out photo #35 for the difference in the color between shadow and sunlight. It could be worth checking with the seller to confirm the actual BRG. If I didn't have a BRG 310S in my garage waiting to be built I'd be very interested in this Duratec powered car.
  7. I talked to my friend Ed in the red Caterham and he's very interested in the Litchfield Lotus Group. I'll PM his contact info to add to the list. I've had another setback in finishing my garage so my Caterham build STILL hasn't started. It always seems to be a week away, ugh. :banghead: Looking forward to meeting up and some group rides!
  8. Congrats John! I'm sure it's been a challenging project for you but it's been an interesting and educational read for me. Thanks!
  9. I'm definitely interested. "Even had a Lotus/Caterham 7 cross our path at Lake Waramaug (anyone on this list?)." - If it was an early 90's red Caterham w/clams I know who it is. I'll relay this info to him too, he could be interested.
  10. If you're anywhere close to CT I have one that has less than 500 miles on it, worked perfectly. You can have it for the cost of a 12-pack of beer. Here's a link with a photo: http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?10596-Airtex-EFI-Inline-Fuel-Pump&highlight=pump
  11. This video on FB gives a pretty close idea of how I might do mine: https://www.facebook.com/bob.bochum.3/videos/551159992494111/ The nice thing about this idea if I do it, is I'll be reusing some old Lucas L594 glass from my 1st car which was a '61 Bugeye Sprite.
  12. I'm still not positive if I'm going to do it or not, but I picked up some Lucas L594 light assys that I might utilize instead of the stock Caterham lights/blocks. I bought (4) red assys to use as stop/taillights, (2) orange assys for the indicators, (2) clear that I'll use for the reverse lights, and (2) matching red reflectors. I think the reverse lights will mount on the rear body panel in place of the rectangular reverse/fog units that come with the kit. They just barely cover the existing holes and I bought the flush mount because I didn't think there'd be enough clearance for the regular version with the proximity of the gas tank to the rear panel. The rest will mount on the rear wings and should look similar to the Super Sprint model but with the extra brake/tail light to make up for the extra width of the normal S3 rear wing. I haven't drilled the rear wings yet, but I think I can space it properly for the Lucas lights and still be able to use the original Caterham lights if req'd. I'll be using LED bulbs for all the lights to hopefully maintain some kind of visibility from the rear. The Lucas L594 look like this: I'm still about a week away from completing my 'big' garage project, so I should be starting the Caterham soon.
  13. I believe it comes standard now. It's installed on mine too.
  14. A nice video review of the new Super Seven 1600 model. It's in French so you'll have to use English sub-titles to understand what he's saying:
  15. I thought this video was done pretty well:
  16. According to the HLR, the first Super Seven was introduced in 1958 with the Coventry Climax FWA motor. Also known as the Seven 'C': http://www.lotus7register.co.uk/ser1page.htm I think the name "Super Seven" became more popular, and is more identified, with the intro of the Ford Cosworth powered S2 version.
  17. Looking good, thanks for the update!
  18. John - The Caterham floor is in two sections. There's the honeycomb section in the rear and a smaller plywood section in front with I believe an aluminum channel in between. The honeycomb is still a little difficult to remove without damaging the paint/powder coat on the chassis.
  19. Thanks John. At some point I hope to be looking for some 13" wheels as well.

    New Lotus

Entry level is even more! "saying it will be priced between £55,000 and £100,000 (around $68,000 and $123,000)"
  21. Good stuff guys, congrats to you both!
  22. The new Super Seven 1600 is now available on the configurator if you want to play with clams!
  23. I don't subscribe to R&T anymore, but I'll have to pick up the issue just to read the article. Although my Birkin was a month or two from being on the road, I did make it to the event with the ex's Mini Cooper. Had a lot of fun riding with various member's Sevens but wish I could have had my car done by then. I hope to be more active here once I start building my new 310S. It's been waiting patiently in it's crates as I finish my big garage project.
  24. I did know that. If I was recovered (financially) from my divorce a little sooner you might have had some competition when Stewart had your car for sale. Here's a photo from a CT group drive before Stewart bought it and installed the BDA. In fact, I think I sat in your car before you did!
