  1. Looks nice Robert!! :cooldude:
  2. This looks to be Eric W's old car. He led the way on a group drive last year and I can say his car was pretty quick! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-Lotus-1998-Caterham-7_W0QQitemZ250555697051QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3a5648879b#v4-36

Road & Track, 2/92 - "Track Time" Peter Egan's write-up on the restoration, preparation, and racing his 1963 Lotus Super Seven at the Monterey Historic races. Thoroughbred & Classic Cars, 9/95 - Nice write-up on S1-S4, with sections on design, driving impressions, owning & restoring, and buying.
  6. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May you all have a safe and happy holiday season!! http://www.purearea.net/pb/pics/christmas_smiley.png
  7. Duratec, IRS, carbon fiber, that's going to be nice! I like the wheels too!
  8. Thanks Gary, it looks nice! I've been thinking of doing something similar with my trailer, but making the cover tiltable or removable altogether. I have a lot of other projects to do first so it'll probably be a while. I'll be interested to hear how it tows....
  9. Hadn't noticed it before, but I think you're right!
  10. Gary - How tall did you make it? Any photos?

    Sylva Star

At least it has the reconditioned 1256cc Vauxhall motor so the performance will match it's looks!
  12. Congrats, that's going to be one awesome ride!
  13. That is a pretty impressive collection! The Cobra seems to be running original bias-ply tires and looks like it could use a little more width in the rear.....especially with a 427!
  14. Now that's impressive Skip!
  15. Found this site with some interesting photos! http://permeldgaard.com/lotus/2007/09/pictures-from-hill-climb-in-gjern.html
  16. Thanks Robert. Unfortunately with the crap they put on the roads the Birkin didn't get out of the driveway. One of these days I'd like to take it to an empty parking lot to see how it'd do in the snow! :driving:
  17. Dale - I look forward to seeing your project as you move forward. And I have to agree with Dean. Here's a shot of the front:
  18. Looks nice Al! Very similar to the wheel that was included with SB1096:
  19. Lotus Twin Cam with 5-speed, nice looking car! No affiliation, etc: http://www.lotusowners.com/ForSale/DNCat/index.htm
  20. I picked up a Craftsman aluminum model on sale for $179 several years back. I like the way it works, but about 4 months past the wty it started leaking. So I tried to get a seal kit, but they would only sell you the whole cylinder assy for almost what the jack cost. I was not happy! So I took the cylinder apart and was able to match up the o-rings pretty close, put it back together with new jack oil, and it's been working fine for over 3 years now! I think the biggest thing is to not extend or release it too quickly and it should hold up better. It looks like this:
  21. As provided by Gary K in the other thread: http://www.gmsr.info/pre2007/S1_Manual.pdf Lots of good Zetec/T9 info, even if you don't have a S1.
  22. With BDA head, dry sump, RHD. No affiliation, etc: http://www.lotusowners.com/ForSale/KWSeven/index.htm
  23. Gary - Lots of good info there, that manual is pretty impressive. Thanks for sharing!
