  1. You are being sent a message.......Don't drive your truck.......Do drive your Seven.
  2. No, but he had actually put the guy in a snowbank. It was only a matter of time, since my friend was a rolling accident just looking for a place to happen. He had been fired from several jobs, generally because of clashes with an authority figure. He never seemed to link cause and effect of his actions, which is pretty strange for an engineer, whose job is the application of cause and effect.
  3. Same thing happened to a chemical engineer friend of mine. He was on the way to work at the local silicon wafer factory, and the guy was driving a Mercedes. When he got to work, he was called in to see his boss. It seems the Mercedes driver was the CEO, and my friend was suddenly out of a job. :banghead:

not the same genre, but I just received it today, the older guys will understand. A group of 40 year old buddies discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed upon that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the waitress's there had low cut blouses and were very young. 10 years later at 50 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the food there was very good and the wine selection was good also. 10 years later at 60 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because they could eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean. 10 years later, at 70 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because the restaurant was wheel chair/ cane/ walker accessible and they even had an elevator. 10 years later, at 80 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the Ocean View restaurant because they had never been there before.
  5. Mighty Mike: First, congrats on the new Birkin. You have demonstrated the Sevens are real cars and can be used for long trips (as long as the driver is tough as nails). Re your comment "What bothered me the most after leaving Dallas and heading north was that many drivers hogged up the left lane, drove varying speeds, and had little regard for the other drivers around them (venting my frustration)". I have deduced that when Texans are born, they are assigned a lane to drive in, and they never leave that lane, no matter what the traffic conditions. Before you Texans jump me, you have to admit it's at least a little true. :jester:
  6. Welcome to the USA7s forum. great videos. Keep us posted on the car and your exploits.
  7. Because of the lack of enough digits in my bank account total, I'm not allowed to look at yatch decor websites.
  8. option1) Have feet surgically reduced in size to size 9B Sorry , couldn't resist that softball you tossed. First, welcome to the USA7s forum. I am sure that some Birkin or Caterham owners will have a better qualified response as to foot room. The SV's are a bit larger in the footwell, as are the Stalkers and Ultralites. You should at least sit in some of the various makes and models to assess how well you fit.
  9. Tom: Sorry you guys are snowed in, we only got about 2 inches in St. Louis. I feel sorrier for those people in DC, but there is one good thing the snowfall will bring, it will shut down the government for a few days, they can't pass any more laws, and that is always good for the taxpayer.
  10. I knew there are wealthy people in this world, but I am always amazed at how many there are. Here's a link to a group pf garages and cars for your viewing pleasure. http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17919
  11. Welcome, ukrbmw, you are at the right spot to look for an Ultralite, as they pop up occasionally. You are correct , it is a great track day car, and the Honda engine and transmission are super reliable. I love mine, and all I ever do is change the oil and put on new tires. You can get a new one from Brian Anderson at http://www.wcmultralite.com/ I suggest you also join and post on the Yahoo groups Ultralite spot http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Ultralite_USA/
  12. There is a pretty complete description in the ad, I suggest you contact Dick Brink at Texasmotorworks for more info. If Dick built it , I suspect that it was done correctly. http://www.texasmotorworks7.com/
  13. I'm so happy that we have global warming. I hate snow and ice, and without global warming we would still be squashed and freezing under the galciers from the last ice age. 10,000 years ago there were no cars, maybe it was the Mammoth flatulence that warmed things up.
  14. You are right, You watch it cut off then split, and you watch it do it again, when you already know exactly what is going to happen.
  15. Rape the enviorment? Seems a tad harsh. What are you supposed to do, pick up pieces of the desired element off the ground? Like the steel that comprises the frame of our sevens? We have to mine all elements. We have to grow, mine or manufacture everything, or else we are just cavemen. As to nuclear waste. If I could, I'd rent out my backyard to store casks of nuclear waste. While I am no fan of the electric car, it will come, and the battery technology, and the disposal methods and the power distribution grid will all be developed. In the meantime, I agree with you, my sports car should be loud and smell of petroleum.
  16. With all that weight that high, it must be a ear to hold it up at a stop sign. Kevin: what are you doing in Dubai? racing, or selling? It must be business, I didn't think it was a typical vacation spot for westerners.
  17. Sevens are easy, golf is hard:mad:
  18. My son and I were gathering wood for a campfire at Yellowstone, and we came across a moose cow and a calf, about 25 yards away. We slowly backed away, and when out of sight, ran all the way back. Those things are HUGE
  19. OOOOH NOOOOO Mr Bill...... A RICER Seven :willy_nilly:
  20. Awesome. Makes me feel like I have been woefully inadequate as a father.
  21. Very nice video. I like the wide field of view, it gives a view of the countryside, and a better feeling for the road ahead and the car's position.
  22. Duh, I should have figured that out myself, after all clocks do have 3 hands when you count the second hand. I googled it and saw the consruction. Very cool.
  23. The words "Watch this" are generally a sign for you to get in a safe place and watch the impending disaster. This guy luckily made it. I wonder if it was his first try
  24. I went to a military high school, ROTC and all that, wore uniforms every day, got to wear a Sam Browne belt and carry a sabre. How dangerous was that? Of course I failed the cool test.
  25. Very cool indeed. What is the extra red light at 7 o'clock?
