btw, the story behind that pic is apparently team Corvette had a large lead at the Lemans race, and decided to do a last pit stop to wash the car so it looked good crossing the finish line. This pic is the car taking off after that pit stop.

I completely understand the rant. of my 2 boys, the older one is exactly like that. bare minimum. the younger one has an attitude, but also tries very hard and is a quick learner. The older one could LOVE something, but as soon as you mention the words learning or practice, it's a turn-off. The younger one would fall of the bike and be bleeding, and he would get back on on his own and try again. kids are just different. This season with baseball we just had a few awesome players. They led the way, but the rest of the kids took their lead and improved greatly on their own. That made it very rewarding. Here are some pics from one of the parents. Take a look at pic #33. today was my older son's league championship game. They completed their undefeated season by coming back from behind. down 8-3 bottom of the 5th, we scored 6 runs, then struck out first 3 batters on top of 6th to finish up the game. All season long our kids had been winning without really paying attention. today's 5th inning, everybody was up against the dugout fence, cheering each other on and jumping up and down.
