I had some adapters made to use 4 x 100mm, 38mm offset wheels. 205/50-15 tires fit nicely under the front cycle fenders. Far more choices and less expensive than 4 x 4 1/4" wheels. I can swap back and forth with the wheels on my Miatas. They have been on the car for more than 25k miles with no problems.

I want one of those safety stickers for my dash panel. My Miata had the standard "Sit down, strap in, shut up and hang on" engraved on the A/C vent. Years ago I had a bunch of labels printed that said "Ass, Grass or Gas, Nobody Rides for Free" that I put on the dash of all my cars.

Ouch! That hurt to watch. The chassis did stand up to the crushing well, you can see the machine rock up on its tracks as it tries to flatten the chassis.

Those are nifty. I recently bought an Escort Max 360 with an OLED readout. It was totally unreadable when the top was down in both the Caterham and the Miatas. I sent it back and got another Escort 9500ix which has an LED screen which works fine in the sunshine. Hopefully the ones in the video would be bright enough to work in an open car.

A friend who already has one of the 2005 Ford GTs decided he wanted one of the upcoming new ones. Here's a newspaper article on the selection process Ford has put in place. There are already 5,000 applications for the planned 2 year batch of a total of 500 cars. He said he just got word that 500 applicants so far have been eliminated but he is still in the running. And here are the two videos he and his son produced to submit along with their application. A change in the music will tell you when the 1st one ends and the 2nd one starts. This is his current Ford GT at today's Colorado Concours. I have driven this car at 140 mph and it is the sweetest car I've ever driven.

The first 1.8 Miata I saw was a pre-production car in that color, didn't like the color then, still don't.

Its actually Laguna Seca Blue from the BMW M series but I like both Grabber and Smurf (Mariner Blue).

As a data point, my 2004 (build date of 12/03) Roadsport SV has the aluminum hubs with cast iron calipers. It had an open differential to which I added a Quaiffe LSD. It also has an updated deDion tube with reinforcements to prevent the attachment points from separating from the tube. I do not know the change over dates for any of this. I can't speak to engines or transmissions as I put in a turbocharged Miata engine and transmission. It came set up for the Zetec engine and T-9 transmission. You can have mine for $35k.

Damn, its getting so you can't believe anything you see on the internet anymore. In 1987 I got stuck in a long line of left lane cars on the Autobahn headed by an American GI in a Firebird doing about 85 mph. I was the only car that pulled into the middle lane to pass him. I tried to signal to him to move over but he flipped me off. As long as I could see them in the mirrors no one else did a right side pass. The fast lane was clear for quite awhile for me after that. I cruised at 125 mph and that wasn't fast enough for the left lane but overtaking cars flash their head lights giving plenty of time to move over.
