Both of my cats were sleeping on a chair next to me at the computer when I played that video. Both of them woke up and were prairie dogging around. looking for the intruders. The really territorial one was checking all three speakers looking to get at the strangers. She will throw herself against the glass making an awful thump trying to get at an intruder. When she can't, she turns on my other cat and takes it out on her. In 12 years, the second cat has never learned to stay away when the other one is pissed off.

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So my wife called him a shit-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age. I gotta try this at the next opportunity!

I always say "Thank you, I'm not interested, please remove me from your call list". I rarely get a second call from anyone I say this to as they are required to remove your name if you request it. This along with being on the do not call list keeps my phone relatively free of garbage calls.

Maybe he was the judge for this contest, note that they all are winners Admin: As much as I enjoyed that work of art... if we get linked to the wrong places on the interweb... Note to moderators: if this is stepping over the line, my apologies and feel free to remove it.

I'm already spending way more than that on my Se7en this year, way more... Unfortunately, I'm helping Great Britain's economy more than the USA's. :flag: Ben & Cory only get a relatively small margin on all those expensive Caterham parts. :7frog:$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Tom. PLEASE bring that cornet with you when you next come to Colorado to work on your car. I'd really like to see it and hear you play it. Skip

Steve, That guitar is a thing of beauty! What brand/model is it? That picture brought to mind those posters of a Ferrari, a violin and a beautiful woman. The only way for me to avoid upgradeitis is to sell all my vehicles and walk. Skip

Calling all Georgia Seven owners (and enthusiasts)!

A new Colorado law went into effect on July 1, 2007 that exempts kit cars from state emissions checking. :7fume: -
One of his current projects is the restoration of an Elan. Bob's car is certainly a beauty. There are a couple more pictures of it posted here: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=1929 I still haven't received my copy of the March R&T. :banghead: The February issue just showed up a week ago.

If you had to get your first seven all over again...
scannon replied to slngsht's topic in General Sevens Discussion
I had wanted a Se7en for a long time but didn't get around to it until I was in my 60s like several others here. My feet are just too big for the standard width Se7en. I wasn't really aware of how many choices there were out there at the time. I had seen Keith's Locost but never driven or riddened in any Se7en until Ben from RMSC brought a Caterham SV to a Miata club track day. He let me drive it and I was hooked. I only looked at Caterhams as I didn't want the more complicated build of a Locost and really wasn't aware of the other choices. I found a great deal on a new SV rolling chassis and took out a second mortgage to buy it. No regrets, none at all. I think had I known of the many choices, I still would have gone with the Caterham SV. What would I do differenty? Only some detail stuff than I am spending this winter on. I would like to build a kit sometime rather than starting with a roller. Skip -
"Please note the chassis number for reasons unknown to me is not correct for this car and if this is important, you might want to find another. This has no impact on title" This will be a nightmare for anyone who wants to title it in a state that requires a VIN inspection to register an out of state car.

They do cost significantly more but they also don't require a donor car for things like suspension, brakes, diff etc. Pretty much everything you need other than the engine and transmission is included. If you want the standard engines and transmissions, the dealer sells you the car and the USA importer sells you an engine and transmission. From there it is pretty much plug and play. I had it easy as I bought a rolling chassis. All I had to do was make a Mazda engine and trans fit in where they expected to see a Ford Zetec and Sierra transmission bolted in.

How many excuses do you want to hear? First there is the difference in driver experience. Then there is the development time on your vs. mine. RA1 tires vs. street tires. Home track advantage. A turbo is of little value on a go kart track. I could find a few more but why :_deadhorse: When my skills ramp up to the level of my car, we'll see who rules.

I should'a known better. :ack: Besides, everyone knows that Caterhams rule!

This is what I love about this forum. Most any other forum would have been deluged with "I have a brand X, you should buy one" or "Brand Y is the only way to go". Instead we get good unbiased comments mostly saying try them all and buy what suits you best. :7head:

I think they are the Kodiac wheels, but I'm sure Bob will let us know when he sees this thread. Skip

Not ture! bsimon of this forum has one here in Colorado. If you look close you can see the steering wheel on the "passenger side". http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/758538618_DSC02935.JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/911314810_DSC02928.JPG

I saw an early big block Camero that was racing on an unfinished freeway. The driver lost control at something over 90 mph and took an unterminated guardrail through the front grille. The guardrail moved the engine towards the passenger side, proceeded on through the firewall, dash board, driver, front and rear seats and out the rear of the car. The guardrail was still in the car when I saw it, sticking out a foot or so on both ends. They said they cut about 20' of guardrail from the rear of the car. Driver died, passenger was unhurt.

I'd be more concerned about bears than buffalo. Fortunately, bears along the roads in Yellowstone are far more scarce than in the past. I recall having one slap the windshield on my dad's 55 Mercury when we had to stop because it was in the middle of the road. I swear that glass moved in about an inch when the paw hit it.

I drove the Beartooth a few years ago in my Miata on the 4th of July holiday. There was some traffic but nothing to slow me down. I passed some sport bikes who tried to stay with me but could not. When I stopped at the top they stopped a few minutes later and headed for me looking none too happy. Thought there might be trouble but they were just unhappy with not being able to keep up. They wanted to see what I had under the hood guessing it was a 5.0 Ford. It wasn't, just a well tuned (on Keith's Rototest dyno ) turbo 4 banger. :7fume: The highway was so much fun, I turned around and went down and back up before heading down the other side. Skip
