  1. Hi. for Ford 2000 Pinto bell housing with T9, The fork pin assembly is of the pin, a hardened washer & a short piece of anti-chatter tubing. Can someone list the order of assembly? Like, the fork under the pin head, then the washer then the tube... does the washer and fork slide over the tube?
  2. in a cylindrical tank with a tangent inflow, would the direction of tank inflow matter? Assuming the user in in the northern hemisphere. Or is ingress flow not an issue in this application?
  3. yea, your Cat wasn't built for Ford Escort, so you have different [better] pedal anchors. perhaps I need to swap out pedals?
  4. Do you crimp your own eyelets? I would like to see more on this. Building a reliable cable sourced with local parts is a big deal.
  5. Another option is to install a pedal stop to prevent over stressing the cable.
  6. assuming you're LHD with a right side fork, you want the 5 foot cable, they are the last two on the Burton site, CCESCYB1 170 cm / 5.5ft CCESCYB2 173 cm / 5.67ft What makes our cars made for the Mk1 Escort difficult to cable is the eyelet on the pedal end...that didn't continue on many other cars. Also, cables from "First Line" are notoriously unreliable. if that's all you can get, get a few. thats where they break at the eyelet.
  7. This one lurks in my area https://m.facebook.com/ifoundpenelope/photos/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0
  8. yea, like the Canton- Mecca. are they still around? AFAIK, I would stick with the K&N 2001
  9. Yes, Ive been watching for these a long time. I also believe Burton had an aluminum version for a few years. I could be wrong.
  10. Yes. Must be a member of Lotus & Caterham 7 Club (UK). If there was anunethical person here they might scan the issue and email it to you. you would have to PM that unscrupulous person and request it. I can't believe people would do a thing like that...
  11. You won't see me promoting products here much. I just think when Ford re-casts a vintage motor for the enthusiasts, and upgraded it, its a big deal. This is the first time I've seen them advertised https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=9127
  12. yep, thats purple people eater purple
  13. Of course you are interested! Does anyone know the oil flow rate of a Kent Crossflow with standard oil pump at various RPMs, 3K, 2K, etc? Or that of any engine if you know it. I just have never known if engines flow quarts per second or gallons per minute. I have no idea.
  14. Dave Bean has been in the Lotus game for a long time. Dave has left us, but Ken is a true Loti guru. http://davebean.com/
  15. PPF? Plastic Protective Film?
  16. Burton??? Pegasus and Dave Bean! What pan do you have? I have a "wedge" from Caterham. its even with the bellhousing bottom. Ive managed to hit it, drop the car on it going over a curb, etc. I have ruled out a dry sump unless its necessary because I'd rather be hitting the pan before hitting the bellhousing. Update: I have since changed my mind and am piecing a DS together as cheap as I can. Why? reduce foaming, improve cooling and aeration. All to feed the engine better oil.
  17. The CF looks right on that blue.
  18. I weighed my FIA, sans Petty strut, at 21 lbs
  19. Yea, I was concerned about the zinc. Thanks.
  20. Use a windscreen washer bottle. Pump the excess back at shutdown. Just guessing here, it probably couldn't handle the pressures either.
  21. I have decided to build my frame stands, basing the design after the Allstar 10625, but more over built. I the commonly available materials are Uni/Super strut channel tubing, and hole punched 1-1/8 & 1-1/4 square tube at Depot. The Unistrut I can bolt together but would have to hunt for the angle braces. The square hole punched tube will be welded and welder can fab the braces. The hole punched tube will slide together so I can have some telescoping. I'm not certain this punched tube is adequate??? What say the gallery?
  22. Yosa, welcome. we need to know what car you have to help.
  23. is Atlas a brand like Dana?
