  1. Posted because I love looking at the pics, you know the deal...before it arrives
  2. Well, the older Vaux 2L is nice and I bought that blind, I'd never seen a Caterham in person let alone driven one... but it gave me the bug...and a mask and six feet of separation had no effect. I may keep the HPC too...have both of them. I don't need to tell anyone here how fantastic they are.
  3. Not too bad, Washington state
  4. ...in very good nick to match a nice 7...
  5. I'll do my best...money paid/docs signed/tires enroute and now for a transport...lousy time of the year to do that but ....fingers crossed. This is the best driving time of the year in Az...75 today
  6. Thanks Croc, figured they'd be balloons on standing water. Not much of an issue where I live in Az. I can usually count the number of times I use my wipers on my street car on one hand in a driving year. 75 today. I appreciate the info/comments on this website...the only hold up to the purchase was finding available tires..... wire went thru so I've purchased a set....thanks all.
  7. Thanks Jord, the rain comment is noted and good to hear.
  8. I took your advice and will look for a proper windscreen and doors....
  9. Well I bought an r400 that looks good with low miles, a full history of maintenance and it is in pristine shape. Thanks for the help and suggestions gents. I'll post pics upon arrival....
  10. I really have no option but to go that way, thanks for the info...this is for the street so no issues.
  11. Slonie, what is your opinion of the R888R's..... if my offer is taken I'll need tires asap...they have tread but are old.
  12. Thanks Gents, very helpful
  13. All a bit confusing when you go to the sites...but a lead for sure.
  14. 185/55r13 and 215/55r13...I am looking at a few Caterhams and of course they need tires..... I can't find any sources just doing an internet search.... anyone have any suggestions?
  15. Oh boy Howdy.... we've already done some email...thanks, he mentioned you had sent him a msg.
  16. Does Josh regularly check his website...I've sent two messages and nada?
  17. No budget restrictions...will ship from wherever in the US..live in Az. Looking for a street (windshield, doors etc. heater) 360/420/180 hp min. Duratec model...this will not be tracked..can go with either the reg S3 body or the wide. Otherwise I am pretty open. Thanks for the suggestions.
  18. I presently have a nice 2L Vaux 20xe that I've had for a year now, love it but want to upgrade to a recent 360/420 street model.... thanks.
  19. I was hoping that was the case
  20. Is there an issue or did he forget to renew? rockymountaincaterham.com/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi
  21. Could be why my original Alternator is leaking...the fan on it is oriented for a CCW rotation. They will still work in that direction as they pull air thru but not efficiently. Caterham...parts is parts. I couldn't start the Vaux to check rotation as I'm waiting for a windage tray.... no oil so just looked at the present Alt.
  22. I'll try the one you sent the link to. It does not have a directional clutch and will work in both directions.... I'll simply replace the fan.
  23. Thanks very much....really appreciate the effort you made. I'm on the hunt .... I know alternators can work in either direction so I'll see if I can find one with the properly oriented fan...or, change it out.
  24. Seems to be the original Motorola 14volt 9rc 7047 and I've seen 9ar 2707g 14 volts in comments...this has 3 blades and a nut connection on the back. Has anyone found a source or a suitable replacement? This is available but not sure if he ships to the states. Alternator - X Flow and VX — Sevens & Classics. Mine is presently working but is leaking a glue like material from the integral regulator on the backside....
