3. I would take either! Or, both!
4. VERY nice! Loving the color too. Keep posting pictures. Scott
5. The news reports are showing the damage. Terrible. You and your family stay safe! Thoughts and prayers. Scott
6. I don't know what brand clutch it was, probably a cheapo. I am going with a Spec clutch/pressure plate. I only have around 5,500 miles on the car, so it shouldn't have self distructed. I do autocross a good bit, but don't beat on the clutch and am surprised it didn't last. Oh well, it should be up and running in a few days!
7. Playing at a Test & Tune and the clutch didn't seem to want to play along... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/snookwheel/Stalkerclutch.jpg Of course, it was a nice day and I decided drive our Stalker to the event with the tire trailer instead of using the truck and race trailer, so my wife had to come pick me up. Oh well, it should be back into commission in a week or so.
8. Squirrel Launching.... More than just a sport:
9. We have a Super Stalker and I highly recommend them... of course I may be a tad biased. Fast, reliable and inexpensive to maintain. We use it on the street a lot as well as autocross as often as possible. Here's a link: http://www.bruntonauto.com/ Scott
10. Wow.. first time I have read your BritishV8 link. Beautiful build and stunning car Skip! That must be a blast to drive! Scott
11. What is that 'clunk' at the 35-36 second mark that I hear? :bigear:
12. WOW! Keep posting your progress! Scott
13. Wow! Beautiful scenery you have there!
14. The course really was set up for the Vettes to stretch their legs! I have never had to shift into 4th before. On that course, I was deep into 4th. Very fun. Scott
15. It was billed as a Test and Tune, not AutoX. Not very technical, but real fast & fun. It was held at an airport North of Tampa.
16. My wife and i attended a local Corvette Club Test and Tune event with our Super Stalker and had a BLAST! Deep into 4th gear, early triple digit territory. Those guys do not like using many cones! After finally figuring out the correct line, I took FTD, which I did not expect with the beautiful Z06's in attendence. My wife was close behind me. By the end, several vette guys were wanting info. about Stalkers, and a chance to have a sit in a Seven type vehicle! Over all, a GREAT day! We will be back to play with that club again! 17. LOVED IT!!!! Thanks!
18. X2! Thanks. I always enjoyed his humor. As kids, my brother and sister and I used to listen to his albums. there was a down hill go cart one that was great too.
19. You know you are going to miss it. :cooldude: Way fast & fun mode of transportation for the money! Good luck with the sale. Someone is going to get a rocket! Scott (fellow Stalker owner)
20. Now THAT's funny!:smilielol5:
21. Very cool! http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=S4KrIMZpwCY
22. I won't be able to make the Axis vs. Allies next month, It sounds like a great time though. While we won't make it up there, we will get to attend a local Autox that day. It was amazing at what an improvement the R160's were over the c91 compound hankooks we were using. The hankooks were great once you could get enough heat in them. We ran an Enduro on the Hankooks, and by the third lap they were like glue! But it seems the Goodyears stick quicker. We also dropped to a 20" tire in front with the Goodyears. You won't be disappointed. I'm am going to try treating a couple heat cycled hankooks with formula vee and see it they kick sooner. I hate just chucking them with all the rubber that is left on them. 23. Thanks, I did leave some time on the course though. More seat time.... I have always wanted to go to Nationals, maybe one of these years. I imagine I would get my hat handed to me in that field, but it would be fun to give it a shot! There is a certain Bugeye Sprite that has really dominated Emod for a while. A Stalker did place 3rd. this year. Scott
24. Had a great time at the SCCA Fl. State Solo Championships in Gainesville last Sunday. It was held on a mini road course at gaineville Raceway. I missed FTD by just over a tenth of a second. Good enough for 1st in EMod. I am loving the Goodyear R160 compound tires. Lots of grip. in car of same:
25. Speaking from my Jeep off-roading past, the dirt/dust/mud just destroyed universal joints, bearings, brake cylinders. Anything that moves and can be damaged by a fine grinding compound being sprayed at it... will be damaged. Cost of admittance for off roading :jester: Scott
